Awesome to see. It really does look like we're getting the future starter Demko was projected to be.

As for Markstrom; I'm torn. I don't envision him being a Canuck by the beginning of next season. Does it make more sense to trade him at the deadline to a team that needs help in net and potentially recoup a 1st with the right package? Or do you trade his rights after the season for a lesser return?

we'll need both goalies to make it to the playoffs. Our division is so tight that we can't afford to go with some grade B backup after the TDL, imo anyway. If Marky can be extended on a decent deal he's still tradable if need be for expansion next season. 

I certainly wouldn't be in favor of trading Markstrom now but who knows what the standings will look like 3/4 of the way through the season. If the Canucks have some breathing room? It would give them a lot of potential flexibility.
