  1. Turns out new "management" just sits around pointing fingers rather than doing their jobs. Jokes on you Aqualinis.
  2. What is going on lol...this isn't the Canucks I'm used to watching but I LOVE IT!!!!
  3. He was always like an "assistant TO the Regional Manager." (The Office reference) Truth is, noone really knew what he ever did in the first place.
  4. Did Elon bribe the refs in this one? Ducks CLEARLY had too many men in OT and no call too.
  5. Haha I was just kidding man, I know he's having a rough start.
  6. Are we watching a Marvel "What If?" episode where in this timeline, our Petey is a bust?
  7. Everytime I watch Petey I feel like even if he doesn't get knocked down, he will somehow eventually stumble and fall on his own. You technically don't even need to defend very hard against him these days. Pretty much just breathe in his direction and he'll fall over.
  8. We're just so...predictable. Like every team knows how to counter our repetitive plays now. We have like 2-3 options we always revert to on the powerplay, we dump and chase 80% of the time we enter the opposing zone, we mash up the lines when players are desperately trying to find chemistry, we overly rely on players who are visibly struggling and bench those who aren't. We're just so...predictable to play against it's like Green keeps going back to the same stale strategies every time, hoping the result will be different.
  9. Okay Greener, hope you've seen enough of the placeholders. Because I know I sure have... really hope I don't see this knockoff Burrows again...
  10. Juolevi looking noticeably slower and Boner literally making plays everywhere.
  11. Can we just fast forward to the start of the season please. I'm so starved for hockey I'm watching the Detroit Red Wings Training Camp on Youtube...
  12. Holy crap if this guy is able to put it all together he will be scary to play against. 18 years old, 6'2" and 202lbs...what do they feed this kid lol...
  13. I'm warming up more and more to the idea of McTavish...if he can take a step in his skating I can see him being a very good 2c/3c for us (With Bo mentoring his development). Arg...this year is such a crapshoot...
  14. Where does it say exactly that Lysell's "work ethic is nowhere near pod or hogs at all. It’s literally not even close to them"??
  15. Yes, I heard this interview too. Shane is a project manager for EA games. Essentially, Chel drafting is his wheelhouse. Have you played EA's NHL games? Let's just say their drafting predictions aren't always the best. Anyways, I have no issues with you disagreeing with me but Shane is not exactly a scout. Actually, here is his linkedin (you can see for yourself lol): https://ca.linkedin.com/in/shane-malloy-mba-chp-68a041bb
  16. Which scouting reports? Can you post them? I have no issues with you disagreeing with me but if you're saying "it's literally not even close," then perhaps you can provide some of your sources? Scouching did a really good analysis of Lysell, the link for that is here: Also, the hockey writers have a good article on him too: https://thehockeywriters.com/fabian-lysell-2021-nhl-draft-prospect-profile/ Lastly, according to Dobber Prospects: “Lysell’s greatest attribute is his skating, with speed to burn and the agility to adjust and play through traffic. He is an excellent puck handler and can make moves at high speed, as well as in tight around the net. He lacks size and strength but does a good job of protecting the puck on his outside hip while looking to make a play. Lysell hunts pucks while closing quickly on the forecheck and does well to evade defenders in confined spaces by using his low center of gravity to get underneath checks. Able to turn on a dime due to his great edges and ability to transfer weight quickly, Lysell is slippery along the boards. He is a responsible defensive player who supports the play well in the offensive zone and does an even better job of tracking the play in defensive transition, taking intelligent angles in pursuit.”- Nick Richard, Dobber Prospects
  17. Fabian Lysell would be my pick. Plays like Pod and Hog, taller than Hog but shorter than Pod. Imagine a Pod & Hog hybrid but not as jacked as either of him. A true honey badger type player but with a little more skill. Imagine how hard it would be to play against us night in night out with a team consisting of players like Horvat, Miller, Hog, Pod, Lysell, Motte & Highmore hounding you 24/7. I like Mctavish, but he simply doesn’t have the skating to be a top end player at the NHL level (unless he gains a step in his development). I also don’t think Johnson’s game will transition very well to the NHL. People compare him to Petey but he’s a winger and doesn’t have Petey’s hockey IQ and certainly doesn’t have anywhere near the power of Petey’s shot. If you watch his shift by shifts you’ll see that he holds on to the puck for way too long too. He doesn’t have high end skating and is often just making plays for the sake of making plays.
  18. I have no issues with staying at #9. We can introduce Pod & Hog to their protege Fabian Lysell.
  19. When Hoglander came over, I thought he was going to be a third line fixture. I thought a successful season for him would mean around 15-20 points with a few goals from his patented michigan. He has absolutely smashed my expectations, finishing 6th in rookie scoring and 27 points, playing in a top 6 role effectively, never once looking out of place and not a single michigan goal. I think this kid still has a LOT to prove and once he is comfortable enough to pot in some michigan goals, watch out...
  20. I really like our draft position to be honest. JB has proven he can find diamonds in very heavily scouted drafts and with how wide open this year is, I think the chance of us getting another franchise altering player is very high. We are already foaming at the mouth waiting for Podkolzin to come over, imagine if we have even more big time prospects on the way when our competitive window arrives.
