    Stan Smyl trying to pronounce Podkolzin's name was the highlight for me of the draft.  

     

    Between Stan and Don Cherry If you were to bet money on it, who would you bet it on to actually pronounce his name properly?

      No, definitely didn’t do that. He actually remembered who I was from seeing him at a few STH events so we chatted for a bit. He was at the groom’s house too after and we caught up again :lol:

      Boston is thin on the blueline and Toronto wouldn’t offer in the first place due to divisional rivalry.

       

      Marner is not a centre.

      I remember mentioning when Buffalo was going to trade him that we should trade Virtanen in a package for him.

       

      Virtanen’s trajectory was already showing he wouldn’t become to anything special and advanced would ideally be the player we had hoped in Jake. Would’ve worked perfectly because the Sabres were looking for youth in return. But a lot of Virtanen homers thought he’d become better than him :picard:

      His body is broken down. Doubt he plays much anymore. I suspect he rides out his contract on LTIR so good on him cashing in while he had the chance.

    I'm thinking of doing a series where CDC can vote on the top 50 Canucks of all-time this off-season to celebrate 50 years for the Canucks, but I'm not sure when to start. I was gonna start in July, but I'm concerned a lot of users won't be around then. Should I still wait until the dead times of summer to spice it up during those dry times or take advantage of the larger audience and start it at some point earlier?

    By the reporting done by Friedman and a few others, it’s pretty clear Gillis has been black balled by the hockey men. Makes me want to hire him...
