  1. That's my deal too, except I have the first rounder replaced by Barron, because: 1) I don't think the Rangers would give up quite that much for Miller and, 2) Barron can step in at centre right away and replace at least some of the size, physicality and skill that we would be losing in Miller.
  2. He's actually a better 2-way player as well, which is my reason for preferring him.
  3. Why is it I feel that if the Canucks are going to be trading Miller and Boeser, it better be Rutherford making the deal and not our actual GM, Allvin? Does anyone else feel this way...or should I feel shame?!
  4. Here's something: I saw him throw a good hit tonight!
  5. Might be good to have one veteran leader who stays a constant through the years.
  6. The more I see Boeser play, the more I hope they decide to trade him and keep Miller.
  7. Well I'd prefer someone who was a nonspecific gender.....but they are coming, I'm sure!
  8. I'd take Barron over the 2nd in that deal . If we trade Miller, we're going to have a big hole at centre that no one in our system can fill. Barron would do nicely as a 3rd or 4th line C for many years to come.
  9. I put Othman pretty well on par with Lafreniere and Kakko. If we could get any of those three, along with Schneider (or maybe Lundkvist) and Barron for Miller, that would be the perfect deal for me!
  10. The first step in Rutherford's plan to pry Lafreniere out of New York......?
  11. Nope....dead serious! Watch this clip and you'll understand the gravity of Festivus!:
  12. So you mean he's been at home telling stories all this time?!! I can see taking one day off for the Airing of the Grievances over Festivus, but this is a bit much!
  13. Are you all crazy??! We can't sign him......... but we can wish him on the Oilers!!
  14. But then today in the Province, this is what Luke Schenn said about Tampa Bay's key to success in winning their recent Stanley Cups: “The biggest thing they changed in order to win a championship — after losing in the first round — is that they were relying a lot more on skill. They have a big, strong and heavy D-core and that’s what they pride themselves on — being good in the corners and in front.” This looks like quite a different approach to constructing a D-core than what Boudreau is talking about today..........so who's approach is right???
  15. Played in the NHL many years ago, I believe in the 80's/'90's, for a few different teams (not us though).
  16. Yes. Now he's just going to have to live off all the money he wisely put away for a rainy day..................LOL!
  17. I was just reading that Rutherford won the Stanley Cup with Carolina in 2006 and again with Pittsburgh in 2016...........anyone else seeing what this means for us in 2026?!!
  18. Considering how Rutherford recently said that the team's biggest need is to gain more offence from the bottom six, I highly doubt he's going all in on this guy!
  19. So where does Hughes fit into this Fox-Makar statistical comparison?
  20. Yes, and I hear the crowd has been chanting "Bjorn, there it is" to their new coach!
