Also what other industries offer an actual living wage? Okay look at it like this, you old enough to remember when logging was king.....how did logging benifit the towns or b.c or even canada? logging booming didn't do anything for Manitoba but oil on the other hand gave fort la boss the money it desperately needed, to get new computers and such.... in 2006 our school finally got new computers for most school and a smart board for almost every class.....before that ibm old white hunks ha I moved to jaffery b.c in 08 .....b.c had brand new Apple computers but that's it.....it was like jumping in a time warp.(that was in 2008) ....even the inveremere school lacked funding and the logging companies and mills didn't do jack..... hippie I get what your driving at......there's no place for oil at the table in the future and I agree with you on that but I don't see how pretty much cutting oil off is a good idea....imo this is the time for Alberta/ Canada to hand pick which companies to save and which to let crash, it would also allow government to tighten up regularizations and actually have control.... I get no one wants to see the buy outs like Harper did but we need something/ a plan wouldn't you agree? no one wants oil but until electric cars and trucks are affordable and actually logical then We can tell oil to F off..... hippie if we say good bye to oil what do we do with all the people out of work ? And what happens when JT stops the covid payments? First off I'm fully aware that oil is weak but the thing is we are an oil country but our country treats oil as the devil...... you mentioned those tax breaks but another poster pointed out that those tax breaks haven't helped Alberta......bring other indusrties to Alberta and thx to Kenny we have already saw Tec companies leave...... Okay look at it like this, if Canada doesn't want to invest in oil then how come JT didn't do what trump did and give a big wad of cash to the farmers? And create more jobs? Or bring more companies to Canada, we all saw apple move to India...... This is the problem I have , Canada wants to move pasted oil but no one thought of a back up plan.....like it doesn't take a genius to see that if you take a million jobs away in one industry then you need another industry to step up and we are not there yet..... these type of things is like a meth addict, if you take the drug away cold turkey you can die......that's why people tapper off the drug slowly....... JT has hated oil since day one but the dumbass didn't think any further ha it's kinda like when Biden was asked what would be his first move as president and he said beat trump lol 9 billion and how much did Canada make off oil?......

But isn't that why we shared what we made? I didn't see the rest of Canada turning down those oil checks ha or offering to invest in other industries.....oops they did just that but they invested in their own provinces and not Alberta and Canada had how long to build up another industry to take the pressure off oil but.......lets go green and we will figure everything else out later ha

Got a better idea on how to attract business's? Need jobs and the Rich don't get out of bed unless it's worth their while....... Diversify? Ha how do you off set what oil makes? And also Alberta is the leader in more then just the oil and gas industry..... It's not like it put all its eggs in one basket .....problem is one chicken pops out gold eggs and the other pops just normal eggs. B.c hasn't felt that the strain? How many tourist companies went under? I hate to say this but why can't the rest of the provinces prop up Alberta like Alberta did for the rest of Canada ...... don't need taxes , need jobs...... everything is albertans fault? Ha I might buy that if it was true ha how does one province falls and the rest of Canada follows.....hmmmmm sounds like Canada should have diversify more and not have counted on Alberta so much....... funny thing is the timber industry actually does well in ressions , just hope the rest of Canada can afford timber ha

that only helps if people have money to shop with.... thats the problem with our system, we look at raising taxes instead of trying to give Canadians deals, Canada only keeps 20% of our cattle but beef ain't cheap in a store, could say the same about gas and everything else Canada produces.....raising taxes I've seen that in history somewhere oh yea go look at Brits history ha doesn't end well.

You must have hated Bert lol and jake has stood up for his teammates acouple times this season... I know people bang that drum about Bert but Jakes play reminds me of Bert at times. I get it why you ticked off and want to write him off but his one of those guys that never had to work at it so it understandable but also the Canucks havnt helped him out at the start.....willie sent Jake backwards and thx to the sedins Jake wSnt encouraged to let that d bag go.....Jake hits better then any player in the game today and their clean most of the time but we didn't encourage that side of his game and the leaders on our team at the time didn't help, look at the turn around for Jake since we started playing his style.

I agree Green's special treatment for Brock kinda ticked me off this season. Jake earned his chance but his style of play and proving he can produce with sutter doesn't help his case and then you look at Brock .......most teams that put a player of brocks status on their third line benefit but Brock didn't do jack.....but proved he doesn't have the foot speed to keep up to system or style we play. To me Jake just needs green to whisper mcdavids name in his ear and every time mcdavid has the puck Jake staples him....kinda like what the caps do with Wilson or reeves in Vegas or for the perfect example look at Debrusk in Boston.

I was looking at their left side and figured OJ would fit perfectly or rathbone and I did say one or the other. Also arnt they starting the season without their top two wingers? So that's why I say Jake OJ and a second for Debrusk sounds fair or go for Carlo. Also don't they have cap problems? Or am I misremembering

Van been thinking about a splash and Boston has been quiet. So Carlo and debrusk would be my targets. I don't know what the asking price is but Jake , OJ or rathbone and a pick for probably just one of them but was curious cause the culture in Boston is the type of culture Jim wants in van and both players developed with a good team culture and play with bite and debrusk and bo on the same line would drive people crazy or put debrusk with petey and miller. Not to mention Carlo and Hughes could make a good top pairing. So what you all think? Is there a deal to be done?
