Yeah I think the posters who are trying to force everything for this year and next because they're afraid Petey will leave are incredibly short-sighted. I wouldn't want them running the team. It seems blatantly simple to me we should just be making good moves and exercise some patience and then let the chips fall where they may knowing we made intelligent calculated moves. What we shouldn't be doing is forcing ourselves to go through the pain we've been going through for the last 5 years due to impatient going for it every year strategy. Wait until you have a good team first, then go all in, not before.

Yeah. I hope at some point in time we can actually build a team correctly and actually acquire picks, or simply use our own, before spending to the cap. Yup I agree on that. Leonard is the guy I had my sights on and was hoping he might somehow slip. Perfect player for us, we need everything he brings but yeah he's 90% gone by our pick. What is your thinking on Dvorsky's playmaking and offensive skill? Do you think he's going to be a top point producer like a first line guy, second line Kesler type, or third liner defensive specialist? I have a super tough time getting a read on his future.

Kuzmenko came in and immediately had the jam and speed to play at the NHL level. He clearly didn't need any development at 26 years old to be a regular player. Tryamkin came in horribly out of shape and was missing key pieces to his game. During the year he struggled at times but learned where he was making mistakes and started becoming a better player. He was developing and clearly needed that development to continue. Then he ran home and has missed out on NHL development for 7 years. Similarly Kuzmenko will develop more skills with RT coaching and by playing in the NHL next year and not going back to Russia for 7 more years.

There are some things that just are the way they are. Americans are dumb and eat up crap like baseball and basketball while it barely even flies here in Canada. I think the NHL revenue is just fine in comparison. It will never be as big as American pastimes. That's just the way it is.

Obviously I'm not talking about you. Yet, haha. Just joking. If he does well he'll probably fins himself a job. It's hard to criticize a coach when the team is absolute rubbish. Also hard to evaluate when you're not even at the practices or in the room and watching games on tv. Without being there I find the notion of coach bashing kind of silly to be honest.

Where are the jokers who said he'd never coach again? I like Greener and hope gets back. I still remember some of the fans going hard on Green when it became blatantly obvious the problem was the players.
