"something needs to be done" "we have bad habits" "we need to fix the defence" all said by JR who hasn't done any of that since the offseason, when you had the biggest trade piece on the market. he's past it and you could tell. Allvin is just a puppet, JR is the ringleader. He should be held accountable for his failures.

Bruce Boudreau on the hot seat?

yet another "smart hire" by Francesco going to someone who'd already retired probably seeing all the success in Pitts when JR already had a prime Crosby and Malkin. Dude likes anyone who thinks can bring in a quick fix. JR has his accolades but accolades don't mean sh*t all when your actions with your current team have been kind of lazy/sloppy. You already know this because he himself admitted that "he didn't know/wasn't aware" of Bruce Boudreau's contract terms exactly on HNIC. I have to admit, that baffled me. Excuse me? Aren't you and upper management supposed to be aware of that? I understand that Francesco hired Bruce but shouldn't you know clearly, your own coach's contract terms? I just hope he re-signs and retires. He's accomplished enough. -

look no further than our OEL-Myers pairing in terms of our problems. The others have done what's expected of them. Guys like Burroughs, Schenn, Brisebois...etc are up and down guys that aren't supposed to be set in stone top 4 guys on any elite team. Hughes is a 1/2 but he has literally no one even near his level that's a legit top 4 RHD shutdown player to balance him out (last legit guy we had was Tanev). There's a major gap there. OEL and Myers are offensive minded, supposed to be two way defence that aren't really even shut down guys at their peak which is what we really need. We have a plethora of 5/6 even 7 defencemen (Stillman) who are playing to their level. Rathbone could be a 3/4 but he's still under-developed. That $14 million dollar pairing is our issue and we have too many forwards eating up the cap who aren't going to make up for the liabilities on the back-end. Really an entire mess.

Neely and Sweeney are the biggest clowns. They don't need to keep BSing that they "didn't know" or "vet Miller's situation" properly. It's clear as day. It was well known across the league that this kid had major baggage and issues that needed fixing. What's disgusting is, if there wasn't an outcry or any reaction from the public, they would've continued on with this signing. That Neely press conference is absolutely embarrassing. HE WAS IN ON IT TOO and he's trying to throw Sweeney under the bus, criticizing the signing. "oh, uhh I didn't know. It was a mistake". clownshow. lmfao. The NHL has major issues with some of these old heads in management, condoning these actions. All hypocrites. Makes me sick.

As much as we like to clown him, at the end of the day, he's just a guy trying to make a living off of his craft. As for the charges..... The only thing we know is that he was cleared of them in a court of law. Whether people want to question his morality is up to them. I don't think anyone behind their phone screens/computers have the right to hold this sceptre of justice and judge another individual as if they themselves are perfect people. That's literally for the courts and legal officials to do using objective evidence. Good opportunity for him, Switzerland is beautiful and if he is making a living playing in the second division, all the power to him.

lol. management could've waited until the TDL this year on miller but wanted to make things harder for themselves. were they really certain this team would be successful with a very suspect defensive core? the type of contract miller is on is when you know you will pretty much have guaranteed success. alvin and his chipmunks. smh.

what the actual f*ck is wrong with people? I've actually had something similar happen before to a friend of mine at a canucks game. when i used to travel for work i wore my canucks jersey to games in chicago and boston and that never once happened to me. no verbal harassment or anything. i even took pictures with complete strangers that were fans of the opposing teams. maybe this city really is just cursed and getting what it deserves for this type of pathetic and unacceptable behaviour and the past hockey riots. I hope you and your sister are fine. That's disgusting and those c*nts are a bunch of degenerates that are just embarrassing themselves.

Despite all the team's circumstances, seeing Bo on after hours is somewhat heartwarming. I remember watching him being drafted after the Schneider trade and him growing with this franchise as a bright eyed 18 year old kid. Now almost a decade later he has a wife, two kids and the captain of the team. If we do trade him, I'll miss him. I imagined him raising the first ever Stanley Cup trophy for us someday after that godly bubble playoffs from him as captain and Patrick Roy possessed Demko. It's sad that things have turned out this way.
