Man, I was reading the news and read about this kid named Connor something... sounds like a good player. I hope the Vancouver Canucks pick him. He's apparently from Vancouver too. Would be pretty cool I think.

At $8.8M, I'd expect him to be able to do 1 of the following: 1. Score 40 goals 2. Score 85+ points He's close on both, but we'll see if he can soon enough.

They'll be away from home for half a month. But not only that, it's the amount of travel. From Vancouver to Edmonton then Philadelphia on the north east coast then down to the south east coast with Tampa and Florida then central USA with Nashville then all the way back to Vancouver. It's not like they're away for half a month going from Toronto to Buffalo to NY to Montreal to Pittsburgh.

Not to mention how LA really hammered their depth.

Goalies never bring much back in trade unless they're bona-fide stars with a long track record.

I wouldn't move Podz, simply cuz even if he doesn't become a top 6 guy, he's very capable as a solid bottom 6 guy. Hoglander is either gonna be top 6 or nothing. I'd move 11th OA and Hoglander for 5th OA.

11th OA is up for grabs!

Newhook: 22yo, 27goals and 66 points in 159 career games over 3 seasons. Hoglander: 22yo, 26goals and 54 points in 141 games over 3 seasons. Love how people write off Hoglander while a player that is about the same brings in a 1st, 2nd, and a prospect in trade value.

Wow that seems like a lot to give up for Newhook. Paying for possible potential I guess...

I'll start... somewhat remotely plausible scenarios only (ie. No Makar, McDavid, Bedards please)... Noah Dobson I'd give up our 11th OA pick, one or more of our top prospects, and a solid roster player (not named Elias or Quinn) if we could land Dobson. Already established in the NHL, under 25 years of age, RHD. Perfect. Jiricek or Nemec No actual NHL experience yet, but they look like absolute can't miss top 4 RHD with tons of potential. Again, I'd give up the 11th OA plus more if it meant we land one of these guys. Who's on your list?

I still don't understand how he didn't have Chicago on his list. It's shocking.

He's not the high level player he once was. His past few seasons are nothing to write home about.
