  1. You realize he had a complete crap year last year and is 31 years old... 16 goals and 36 points in 61 games. Pace for 21 goals and 48 points. All for $6M AAV.
  2. Nope. Two prospects that don't move the needle at all IMO. Taylor Hall: 16 goals, 36 points in 61 games last season. $6M AAV.
  3. What the hell... can't believe Boston was able to unload cap that easily. Meanwhile Canucks and their OEL buyout:
  4. I don't think he would have known Bedard is going to Chicago when he submitted his 16 team list for 2022/23. I mean maybe they're gonna do the trade once his 10 team list kicks in...?
  5. That would be a real shocker. Maybe he filled out his paperwork incorrectly... "OH! I'm supposed to put the teams I don't wanna go to on here?"
  6. Yup, Boston is gonna have to move assets they don't wanna move for pennies on the dollar. Lysell is the only real sweetener they have... maybe a 2025 1st round pick? Boston and Calgary are gonna get absolutely fleeced when they dump cap. Especially Boston though.
  7. RJ would not be putting up any numbers like he did in Nashville if he was playing 3C here. Heck he was on pace for only 40 points last year playing top 6 centre minutes. Put him in a checking role playing defensive minutes as a 3C and he would be lucky to put up 30 points. For $4M AAV, that's not very good value at all. Not to mention he's not even that great defensively as many people have pointed out.
  8. Talking to the people on here saying the Canucks should have picked him up. He'd be 3C here.
  9. Yeah this is looking promising for picking up a 3C through UFA.
  10. If we want to fleece a team, it'd be the Bruins. Forbort could probably be had for next to nothing if that's the guy we want. St Louis is not in a major cap crunch, but let's see what happens with that Hayes deal...
  11. Yup, that's why the teams that are in major cap hell this offseason (Bruins, Flames, etc) are gonna get absolutely fleeced when they make their trades to dump cap.
  12. I know they're pretty different in terms of player, but by the numbers: Hayes: $7.1M cap hit for 3 more years, 18 goals and 54 points in 81 games last season. 31 years old. Boeser: $6.65M cap hit for 2 more years, 18 goals and 55 points in 74 games last season. 26 years old. Just sayin....
  13. Yeah that's a really good deal for ARZ. Durzi isn't great defensively, but he can certainly play top 4 minutes with the right LHD partner.
  14. Yotes going for the cup!!11!! In all seriousness it does look like Arizona is finally looking to become relevant. Wonder if they wouldn't mind Garland back there.
  15. Doesn't change the fact Carolina had lots of cap space, so if Bear was gonna improve their team (ie better than Chatfield), he would have been on the 3rd pair to start the season. You can read the article I posted, it clearly states how Chatfield was their guy. They liked what they had in him more than Bear.
  16. Yeah I think cap space is infinitely more valuable this off season than ever before. The cap has only gone up $2m over 4 years. The contracts handed out haven't slowed down, so there's less and less cap league wide to work with. Teams that are cap crunched are gonna pay a huge premium this offseason to unload cap.
  17. I rather have JT as 2C and spend on a guy like Acciari or Kampf for 3C and use more cap on a top 4D.
