    Did anybody here go the Burning Man this year? I didn't, but the mud reminded me of prairie gumbo that accretes to your boots with every step until your feet weigh five times more than usual. Today I learned that tickets were US$575. Imagine that.

      @Citizen Erased I saw a heck of a lot of RV's and SUV's. Don't think I saw one single Prius. Not even a RAV4 hybrid. But that's just showing the exodus today. Can you recharge a HUMMER electric at the festival? B)

      Thousands of people burning tons of CO2 in travel, then setting a wooden man structure and burning it adding more carbon into the atmosphere.

      Sounds so environmentally friendly.

    An Air Canada plane hit a another aircraft on the tarmac at Vancouver International Airport Sunday afternoon

      Unless one was landing, or taking off. The speed they hit would be slow. Makes me wonder about the ground control (that handles the movement of the planes prior to take off or landing). Or did a pilot misunderstand?


      No injuries as per CBC.

      As bad as the winters are there. And how the wind cuts like a knife. Chicago was one of the better places in the States. I imagine there's some neighbourhoods that's like the Downtown East Side.

      And you might want to wear a flak jacket. But its a decent place, not as good as Seattle though.

      I visited Chicago 20 years ago. That was the thing I was most disappointed in. The deep dish was pretty meh. Famous Dave's Ribs on the other hand. Nom nom nom nom....

      Virtanen was a jerk and a disappointment.

      But we got 317 games and 100 points from him.

       

      Dan Woodley we got 5 games and 2 goals.

      Jason Herter we got 1 game and 1 assist.

      Libor Polasek we got nothing.

      Mike Wilson 336 games, 57 points

      Josh Holden 60 games 14 Points

      Brad Ference, 250 games, 34 points but 565 PIM's

      Nathan Smith, 26 games 0 points.

      Patrick White, nothing. We got lucky SJ was in a cap crunch

      Jordan Schroeder, career 165 games 42 points.

      Nicklas Jensen, 31 games 6 Points

       

      That's just the first rounders.

       

      Honestly we have probably the worst draft record of any NHL team.

      I've been here since January 2007, and I was lurking a full 6 months prior.

      Citizen Erased has been here for 19 years.

      so that equates to on average only 5,263 new members a year. (Not sure of CDC start date)

       

      The Hockey Guy has 287K subscribed members and I'm not even sure if he's been posting for 10 years yet?

    Unpopular opinion: Steroids should be legal for all sports. If it’s legal for everyone it’s a level playing field. This would take sports to a whole new level!!

      I don't think it's a matter that people are using them and hiding that's the problem.

      It's the fact that there is long term health issues with taking it.

      Heart attacks, stroke, liver tumours, kidney and psychiatric problems.
