What I don't get is, I'm an IT Professional. I can work in any province in Canada as my credentials are the same no matter where I work. Teachers are treated like sh@t and I can't think of another profession that doesn't accept people from the same profession from other provinces.

BC does, but their seniority does not. It's only been in the last 5 years that it comes with you between districts, nevermind provinces. Even then, you have to be able to get a continuing contract first. I will say, it does suck when I've put 7 years into my district, trying to inch my way off recall and someone from out of district comes in and bumps me down.

And that's what's wrong with unions - instead of the best person for the job, management has to pick the most senior on a list - so why bother post/interview at all if you're just taking the next "qualified" on a list anyways? My real beef is it seems people on that "list" aren't on TOC'ing...just collecting EI.
