  1. This is bona fide legal-ease. I was hoping the NHL had closed this loophole but it doesn't appear so.
  2. Good thing with these guys is that you don't have to make a decision to sign them right away.
  3. I searched YouTube for clips and all i found was a figure skater and a bunch of old Vodka drinking Russians.
  4. Bob MacKenzie had him at 48, seems he slipped from the midterm rankings. All in all, seems like a solid third round pick.
  5. I can't help to think that the ship has sailed on McNally ever turning pro. Sautner will get a look with one of the Canucks affiliates this year.
  6. It would be great to watch him go deep into the playoffs with the Comets. This would be a perfect opportunity to position himself for a shot with the big team next year.
  7. That was my goal, now I can sleep tonight.
  8. Maybe I can beat Gollumpus and guess Richard Lemieux??
  9. Unfair to compare I know but this akes me think of Pavel...
  10. I must have missed something, why didn't the Oilers let Leon play on the WJHC if he was slated to go back to junior?
  11. For those big on Nylander, just wait and see, he will be their next Tlusty.
  12. Unless the cap space is critical, I thought it would make sense to keep Booth. The Canucks aren't expected to contend and Booth may have actually garnered up a decent return at the trade dead line. Not to mention, he can actually contribute on the ice as well.
  13. Ritchie = Jim "the house" Sandluk v.2.0 Actually, even if he could be as good as Sandluk it would be OK. Sandluk played 500+ games in the NHL, only thing was he never developed into a star as was hoped.
  14. Glad to see Torts gone. He really had no idea as to what the identity of the team was. Ultimately he seemed to want to take skilled players and turn them into shot blocking dummies and thugs. When one compares this mentality to that of a great coach such as Babcock you see how bad of a coach Torts is. Babcock instills in his players that their play remains true to the team's style and identity and allows them to play to their strengths wheras Torts tries to force an identity on players. We need this mindset.
  15. Malkin'esque potential... that's awesome. Hopefully we can see that come true, we can dream at least.
  16. To those that want the team to lose every game for a chance at a better draft pick......certainly not real fans. Tanking is for losers. I want my team to win every time they play, for pride if for nothing else. Real Canucks are not sandbagers, other teams may be but not the Canucks. Draft picks are a crap shoot anyway, remember "fail for Nail"? What is it this year, "Bad for Ekblad or Suck for Sam"? Just put the best team on the ice and go for it everynight, that's what professional sports and entertainment is all about. Go Canucks Go!!!!!!
  17. Warhippy, is that Button's list? Looks like it, first thing I noticed is that I thought he missed Virtanen. He is at #41 which seems way too low compared to any other scouting reports.
  18. Whatever happens with Torts shouldn't be decided until there is a new GM in place. Yes, I am saying that Gillis' time is over. If the new guy chooses to stick with Torts or bring in his own guy, that's up to him but the ownership shouldn't allow the coach to be fired at this point.
  19. The post Diaz era....good one, I like that. Too bad that the team is still suffering the Dale Weise hangover.
  20. ya, along with Darren Dreger providing a play by play on TSN.....unlikely is right
  21. True enough but it seems to me that you have to get in the odd game here and there for this theory to work.
  22. Luongo is and probably always will be the best goalie to ever play for Vancouver. This team can't score so it seems like the blame rests on Lou, just like the SCF where he had two shutouts. Luongo is awesome both on and off the ice, unless he has been traded, this is a travesty. Considering how the Canucks treat Luongo as a backup goalie then Gillis better wake up and realize that he can't expect a top prospect and pick as a return, just be glad if someone offers a 3rd or 4th round pick and let Luongo go free.

Hope that he gets that out of his game but the goalie's dive was worse. Looks like the goalie dove so hard he hurt himself.
