  1. After that Chicago win, all we need is one more win and we're out of the CB sweepstakes!
  2. Even though he got a goal during the Dallas game, he made a few bad plays in the corner and clearing the puck, including 3 really bad passes - especillay that first bad one at roughly the 4 minute mark of the 1st period that resulted in a turnover and almost a goal. He still needs work and seems like a really small guy out there - even though he's exactly the same size as QH. I'm a bit doubtful at this point that he'll ever make the team on a permanent basis but for a 4th rounder I wouldn't expect more.
  3. I heard rumours their considering Rick Dhalli from the Donnie & Dhalli show.
  4. This is just so typical for the canucks to fall flat on their face out of the gate for 4 months, end up in the basement by All Star break, make a few bad "tinker" trades at the trade deadline, then go on a late season "tear" right around season ticket renewal time to raise false hopes for next year............................ and then miss the playoffs anyways. Same thing year after year after year. Some things never change in lotus land! Can't wait for aqua-lini's year end presser again......saying "things are shaping up swell for next season".
  5. O.K. you have me conviced, I'm gonna change my prediction (all because of you) but if the canucks win, I'm going to be "something angry"!!!
  6. Who says he's re-signing with us? If we have our usual / annual disasterous start to next season - again (after going on our usual year-end "Dead cat" bounce) he may get fed up and take the high road and go to a well managed franchise with "Normal" ownership and a real chance to win. Don't count the chickens 'till their hatched!
  7. I was in the building sitting in row 14 of Section 305 at game 7 sitting amongst three entirely full rows of Boston players family & friends when one A-hole 2 rows below us got up and started yelling "USA-USA-USA" while Boston was up by a couple of goals. This pissed off several Canucks fans in the section next to us and finally one really big guy got up and walked over to hime NOSE-TO-NOSE and said "Shut the F up" but the guy kept yelling "USA". Sitting next to us were the parents of one of the young Boston defenceman (can't remember who) and I told him that - that guy will get the Snot knocked out of him if he doesn't shut up. So, the Boston parent got up and yelled really loudly "Hey Boston, sit the hell down - you're embarrassing us". And the drunk Boston guy finally and fortunately sat down because it was about 2 seconds from turning into a brawl. Aside from that, we stayed for the cup presentation and thereaftere walked right into the riot in front of the CBC building. We tried to leave downtown but the streets north to gastown by the Post office were blocked by the advancing Riot Squad on horses, West at Granville by the Riot squad, the Viaduct bridges were closed south and so we walked towards the Yaletown Skytrain and one block from there saw a large group fighting with the police and they gassed them and within 30 seconds the gas waffled into our eyes and we were quite a distance away. So we quickly got into the station and on the train but had to get off at the next station by the VPD headquarters on cambie because our eyes wee burning so bad. When we got off there were dozens of VPD officers coming down the escalators in full riot gear and one of them holding an open flat cardboard box of tear gas projectiles and ammunition completly in the open. When we got to the top of the stairs one officer saw us crying from the gas and gave us his water bottle to wash our eyes out with - which we did using out Canucks towel we got at the game. We finally got home and our eyes burned for the next few hours as we watched the mayhem on TV. I could go on and on about the fires, fights, blood and violence we saw - which was pretty scary at times but you all know the story, If you've never been in mob - it's like people have all lost their minds in unison. Something to behold! I'll certainly never forget that night.
  8. Yes I'm sure, the odds change slightly depending on remaining games for each team above or below you. The only time they are cast in stone with acertainty is at seasons end.
  9. Well a few weeks ago we had a 12.1% chance of lading him and we could have improved upon that if Tock-it didn't burn-out QH for 59 minutes/game and EP40/Miler for 27-28 minutes/game, and now we're at only a 4.2% chance to land him and headed towards zero pretty fast with these "vanity" wins - and for what? This late year "Dead Cats bounce" happens year after year and we always start off the next year in a coma. At least make all the losses worth something at seasons end!
  10. Just moved for 8th worst to 10th worst team....goodbye Beddard........
  11. That's what everyone from down there tries to say! It's almost like people are afraid to admit they live in our city.
  12. That's funny - we (fans) never got to watch a cup win either in the last 53 years. Coincidence????
  13. It's still Surrey though and that area is no stranger to "incidents" as it's been in decline for years.
  14. Do you need a bullet proof jacket in that South Surrey location too - like the one on 84th (deep in the hood) ????
