  1. Well it looks like yet another important Report (Tocchet’s top-DAWGs: The Vancouver Canucks’ DAWG ratings under head coach Rick Tocchet (msn.com) )is out - reinforcing the need to get rid of BB6. This latest report focusses on "EFFORT TO WIN" and not surprisingly BB6 is almost dead last as one of the softest - low effort forwards on the team. Just another sign in the continuous long list of reports, statistics and observations that keep reinforcing the urgent need to trade him at the first reasonable opportunity.
  2. No surprise that they've already purged two of the four bottom Dawg's and the other two are high-up on most "Normal" Canucks fans "Wish List" to go next!
  3. It has a "Unique" aura and a great place to meet fellow Captive Canuck STM's
  4. Here's the link ( Tocchet’s top-DAWGs: The Vancouver Canucks’ DAWG ratings under head coach Rick Tocchet (msn.com) to the Final Report showing just who the Top & Bottom DAWGs were for the Canucks in the final 36 games of the season under Tocchet. No surprise who the TOP DAWGS were under Tocchet; Forwards: Joshua & Miller Defense: Burroughs & Schenn ....and of course who the obvious BOTTOM DAWGS were under Tocchet: Forwards: Boeser & Horvat Defense: Still-Man & OEL
  5. If he somehow escapes the hatchet this summer and we're stuck with him again next year, I think we all should pray he'll show up for once and play like a $7 Million dollar player - like he promises every year. That would be great to see! No one wants to see him fail - but for almost $7M he unfortunately has to produce because the Canucks should not be a welfare franchise for underperforming slugs. If this team ever hopes to get out of the basement of the league, they're going to have to be ruthless and demanding. This isn't High-School!
  6. OMG......please don't get me going on all the valuable assets that fool let walk out the door for nothing!!!! Still can't believe the even bigger fool (Aqua-Lini) resigned him and his sidekick Green to an extension after all the damage they did to this franchise for years. Which proves beyond a doubt that Aqua-lIni is in-capable of running this franchise and should stick to building Leaky Over-priced Condos and Sell the team to competent new owners.
  7. The only three likely trades this offseason (of any consequence) which MUST & WILL happen due to the Canucks being up against the wall on cap, would involve either Garland, BB6 and/or JTM. Each of them free up a good chunk of cap space $'s but it will come down to who cost the less to get rid of or the return we get back in the case of JTM and where the Canucks envision us being in the next 2 years. Once we see which one (or more) of those three are traded, we'll get a much clearer picture on the short term direction JR has planned for this team. We should know in a few months. My suspicion is that BB6 will be the first to go! But Garland is a close second choice. JTM's trade may take a bit longer due to the extreme dollars involved and excessive term and will demand that JR takes a deep breath and admit it's better for the long-term good of the team - to unload him now while he still can and hopefully get descent returns for him - than be stuck with his extremely long contract particularly in the last few years considering what's likely to follow with JTM's output - which has already dropped off the cliff by 20% this year - even before that new contract begins. OMG - Look-out JR!
  8. I think the issue when TT was here is that 'ol Uncle Jim B. let him walk out of the door in favor of keeping the guy he drafted (Jake "The Ripper") who he was too proud to admit was a BAD DRAFT PICK and wouldn't let go because that would prove his failure in drafting him in the first place and who ended up being paid just a few hundred thousand less than TT - but only ended up with 5 points that season instead of TT's 44 Points. (almost 10 times the output for TT). That was one of the many screw-ball decisions JB made to run this franchise in the ground - good & deep. I believe this year alone, TT got over 70-75 points with the Lames. I'd take TT in a heartbeat over BB6 especially when TT's only paid $4.2M Vs BB's $6.7M. which means TT produces almost 30% more output for 60% less money and he doesn't pout! ......and thanks for being so honest and confirming us TT supporters (at the time) had it right - because we knew we did as most other "Normal" Canuck fans. Anyone paying attention knew keeping Jake Vs TT was tantamount to insanity!
  9. Good on you for calling it the way it is! Normal Canuck fans like you understand that we are not here to pamper and cuddle these Multi-Millionaire professionals. This is a business and the business is to ice a hockey team that is able to win the Stanley cup - NOT make us feel good with smiling faces, pleasant interviews and being nice to freeloaders who don't perform or are a detriment to this club. Hopefully JR, RT & Co. don't fall into the same trap that the incompetent idiots JB & TG fell into and weed out the deadwood, underperformers and overpaid prima-donnas on this team and turn the Canucks into a "Take-No-Hostages" type of team! We've waited long enough for a solid team - time for ownership and the new management to get us there - and yes, I know it will take a bit more time and am willing to afford JR with that - but not forever! Deliver or be gone! That should be the new mantra for this franchise - management included!
  10. Very-Very important point!. After watching about 10 playoff games so far this playoff season, I can say with 100% confidence that we are Pussy-Cat team of Finesse & tear-drop players - that would be annihilated in the 1st round. It's been so long now since we've played in a meaningful playoff game that it would be a blood-bath out there if/when the Canucks ever make the playoffs again one day in the distant future - years down the road. Except for two players, I see no fortitude built into this current roster capable of any sort of meaningful pushback required in the playoffs let alone any size, grit or speed! That is why this teams needs an overhaul - unless you're happy with regular season Finesse - shinny hockey!
  11. Exactly! He is "a Shooter" end of story - plain & simple. All he is - All he ever will be. It's in his DNA! He can't skate, is slow, makes terrible passes, never carries the puck into the "o" zone - rather always dumps it in like L.E. always did, is soft, never checks, doesn't play well in the " D" Zone", mishandles the puck very often, has low hockey I.Q., doesn't back check, would never fight and would likely fold up like a house of cards in a rough Playoff game. Not sure if I missed anything but we all know him well by now after 5 years of promise after promise. BB6 was unfortunately damaged beyond repair after that brutal hit a few years back and never recovered to what he could of/should have become. I'll believe his improvement - when I see it as he makes the same commitment to improve every year! Hope he can do it this year - but I highly doubt it and he should be considered trade-chip #1 this summer. We could do a whole lot more with the cap room he takes up.
  12. Watch this Video and then just try and tell me this doesn't remind you of the Canucks Power-Play over the last decade, where they just circle around the outside hoping for something to happen while the defenders stand pat in the middle.
  13. It's a fact that this generation is fortunate that in this day & age there's a shortage of workers in nearly every single profession which will afford them opportunity like no other generation has seen for decades. The UN-Fortunate side effect of that, is that we're seeing a lot of unqualified, inexperienced people given positions that not so long ago, they wouldn't have had "a hope in hell" of getting, when there were abundant, experienced Boomer's filling those jobs - having actually earned those positions thru education, hard-work and experience - instead of being handed a job because there were few other candidates applying for the job. For those who spent any time in Alberta, you can see the effects of what happens when employers are desperate for employees, with jobs being throw at the first living, breathing human standing on two legs to apply- with incredibly poor service, inexperience and low professional knowledge levels that Alberta is so famous for. We're now starting to see that creep in more broadly across B.C., Canada and the USA with severe shortages of workers in most professions and industries. Sad but True and fortunate for all the unqualified!
  14. Apr 20th - 10 Attempt results: 3 times slipped down 1 spot to 12th 7 times stayed in the exact same spot where Tock-it over-played the "snot" out of our top players (for nothing) in the last 20 games to try and reach (11th) !
  15. How will Alvin ever be able to manage the team without her? Boo-Hoo ! (I thought she was the glue that held the entire Canucks franchise together??? )
  16. Finally....What took so long ??? OMG ! (P.S.; This is a good sign that Mgmt is starting to see more clearly what we've seen & known for the last several years! There may still be hope! )
  17. Alvin is going to be lost without "The ChipMunk" Girls.....
  18. I'll clarify (again) for the Miller supporters, that I BELIEVE HE IS GOOD PLAYER (and have never said otherwise) but he has unfortunately shot himself in the foot as far as showing he could be leader of the team with his shortage of patience, numerous temper tantrums (too many to count), open humiliation of fellow players, and other questionable actions that make him a far less likely candidate for captain as those are not qualities you seek in a leader. Just think if your Boss at work was like that ! As far as your last statement goes, that in another era he'd be a fine captain. I'm not so sure about that, although he might be a bit closer to being considered and even crack the job on some team - as back in the day the public was more accepting and players less sensitive than they are today. So it certainly could have been a bit more of a possibility.
  19. This all leads back to Aqua-Lini and his horrendously poor judgment in allowing those two clowns (him & Green) to stick around and even renewed their contracts after years of failure. When you look at the "Root-Cause" of the Canucks problems, it always leads back to Aqua-Lini and while I'll give him full points for spend, his poor judgment and meddling ways will be his legacy when he's eventually forced to sell this team in disgrace - which I suspect we'll see in the not too distant future.
  20. That's very interesting. We knew they were questionable together but that is an eye opener. Although I'll bet Myers will be gone one way or another before next season, OEL will likely be back (unless he remains injured) - for at least another season as it appears that there is no appetite (money) to buy him out and have an eight year cap hit. So we'll have to hope he gets his game back or gets paired with someone really good to offset his lack of effort and poor performance. Too bad the NHL does not permit one compliance buyout/Yr !
  21. It's interesting to see the latest Poll results - now that the season is over. A Poll was just taken on the Donnie & Dhalli show a couple of days ago on April 17th and the results are now showing QH:45% EP40:24% Wait & See: 21% and Miller is still way down in the single digits at 9% - not unlike this much smaller poll sampling (above) where only 6% thought he was capable of being captain. What's also interesting is that there was another poll in Feb on Donnie & Dhalli where it somewhat reflected the same results above with EP40: 59% QH:9% Wait & See: 27% and JTM: only 5% saying he's fit to be captain - with a fairly large sampling size of 4052 voters So it looks like QH's is looking solid at present and I believe he is more-so the likely candidate to assume the role in the fall (if they decide to appoint a captain), as EP 40 has not stood out well in the last couple of weeks when being interviewed and I don't even think he wants to be Captain-which is acceptable by most, as he'll be just fine and perhaps best served as is - wearing an "A".
  22. I don't seem to understand your concerns??? Last time I checked, 2030 appears to be in the next decade when he'll be in his late 30's - unless that is incorrect for some other reason All of us are unaware of. I even performed a bit of due-diligence and double checked Cap-Friendly and NHL. Com to see if I missed something - and my earlier statement appears in order. But thanks for attempting to correct me ! Always appreciate other fellow CDC members looking out - to assist other members!
