Wow - that $42 Cdn is almost as cheap as our upper bowl/end zone seats for weekday games. The Canucks are/were selling $32 seats to Students and giving thousands away for free to charities over the last few months to try and keep the illusion that the place is full although that wasn't working too well in the last few home games with hundreds of empty seats visible on TV.

Does that explain why he's played the daylights out of our top players against the worst teams in the league that we've played endlessly for the past two months ?

You don't "LIVE" in Calgary - you "EXIST" in Calgary, a city of endless strip malls, boulevards, sterile looking cookie-cutter sprawling communities of poorly built, double walled cardboard & plastic strip - mass produced Army Base style living barracks slapped up by greedy, overnight builders - who's sole goal in life is to build the cheapest houses as fast as possible then fold the business and retire in BC - (which is everyones life-long goal in Alberta), with no trees, birds, insects or other signs of life in a brown barren moonscape of emptiness where everyone is from somewhere else and so transient that you'll only make friends for a year or two before they've had enougn and move out and ruled by their one & only Industry that never lets you forget that this is a "one-Trick Pony" industry town and where if you say anything bad about that industry, the ruling far right (off the charts) extremist party, or anything about the environment, you'll be shunned and become an outcast - because everyone MUST think the same - or else! Besides, Calgary is known as the "last place of hope" if you don't fit in or can't make it in life anywhere else and/or if you're running away from your past. Just dig into anyones past from Calgary and that will be confirmed! ...........and Toronto is simply like living in a STRESS factory - rumoured that hell is a better place to be. With overpopulation, people rushing around everywhere that never look you in the eyes, line ups for everything, high cost, no natural beauty anywhere - just ugly concrete & glass overpricesd buildings in a city where you burn up in the sweltering extremely humid unbareable summer heat for 4 months of the year and where the sky stays a perpetual light grey colour from all the pollution generated from all the factories and millions of cars from Hamilton to Ajax. The entire southern part of downtown (from Dundas south) smells like Raw Sewage and rat urine all summer long and many of the suburbs are home to numerous large unsafe ghettos that leave you wondering if you're actually still in Canada. .....and good luck trying to escape the city on the weekend with 3-5 hour regular bumper to bumper 150km long line ups on the #400, #401, #404 and other highways guaranteed - if there are no accidents and the worse part is that your team is "The Leafs" ! Sorry, but I'll stick with Vancouver.....

Even though the flames can be our rivals at times, we should show some respect to their fans. These are the same folks that escape the barren moonscape of Alberta annually, after 8 months of extreme-harsh winter conditions working like dogs, depravation, isolation (cut-off a thousand KM's from the nearest civilized city) and boredom of living in Calgary to enter our civilization and spend all their money in the Okanagan getting $h1t-Faced for 2 weeks while supporting our economy. We need to make those Albertan worker bees feel welcome and allow them to drown their sorrows too! So let's be nice to our poor little Prairie cousins!

What did Calgary fans possibly expect when Flames Mgmt. hired the Meanest Old Pig Farmer from Red-Deer (The Meth Capital of Alberta) they could find - using his outdated autocratic hate and intimidation tactics - from a generation ago - to threaten players into submission. No reasonably sane person with any self respect & dignity could last 82 games listening to Sutter spew his vinegar and salt upon themselves. Why do you think their two top players bailed out as fast as they could last year and bolted out of Cowtown on the first horse? He will be fired in less than 48 hours unless he beats them to the punch and quits immediately after their next loss. You can bank on that! My sympathy to all Flames Fans! We know what it's like to have a bad coach - trust us on that! Better days ahead......hang in there! P.S.: Welcome to the Bottom Feeder world. It ain't so bad. I still can't believe JR resigned Boeser. What was he thinking???? That decision is almost as bad as JB's decision to resign Jake "The Ripper" over Toffoli a couple of years ago.

The Season was "DONE" way back in October after that mountain of low-energy, lazy losses (where we had the lead in most games - by multiple goals). Since November it's been all about Bedard until Tock-it took us on the whimsical vanity winning against all the weakest teams in the league by playing the daylights out of our top players to move us father away from a good draft position. We never stood a chance after November!
