Very tough NYR defence to crack top 5..You can't go on his stats, only getting 9--11 mins of playing time... He should be a future #4 or #5 D man great skating and skill... I would think NYR will want player of same age in return or 2nd rounder?

I agree but the Miller situation has to be resolved before season starts by October 14th. Either Vancouver sign him to that 7 year deal in 7.5 -- 8.3 million range ? If not deal is signed soon trade has to be made? Vancouver don't want Miller distraction talks all season.. Also Miller camp might not want any distractions during season? Can you imagine being in close playoff run and have to move Miller at trade deadline.. Canucks need to get a return on this valuable asset if they are not resigning him.. Good RD man under 25 future # 2 -- roster player top 9 -- draft pick 2nd rounder depending on quality of players in deal.

I like Pearson 30, 6'1, 200 lbs - 3.25 million X 2 yrs - Solid 200 foot game - lack of speed and hands are not the same. With this Canuck roster Pearson could be on 4th line making 3.25 million X 2 years. Yes I would make this trade.. Pearson is a guy that could move up the lineup and plays a 200 foot game.. This trade makes sense for both teams... I like that gives 1.5 cap space and Clutterbuck 5'11, 216 lbs, is a pest.
