    Dropping to 5th overall is a big FU to tank nation. Look who got number 2 and 3. Smh

      Toronto got first overall for being last. Yeah. But look at the last 4 years and see who got the first overall pick. Not the last team.
      We finished 3rd last and instead of getting a top 3 pick, we got a top 5 pick. CBJ (who people at the end of the season were cheering to win their last game to insure VAN stayed 28th) got a higher pick than us. WPG, who finished 3 spots higher, got an even better pick.

    No one better boo Hamhuis. It's not his fault Benning couldn't make a trade. Hamhuis has been class throughout.

      I understand that. But Hamhuis have always wanted the better for the team (through his interviews). It's just disappointing to hear that he only wanted to go to two teams while there were multiple offers; JB could have had a huge bidding war. Hamhuis was only going to be away from his family for a few months. Now, i don't want Hamhuis resigned because i could see him asking for a NTC yet again.

      It took him to go from VAN to MTL and now EDM. He needed a wake up call twice. Doubt he'll be the person he is today if he stayed in Vancouver.

      Hamhuis only wanted to go two teams (CHI and DAL, while there were reportedly offers from the East; could have been a bidding war). The blame is partially his as well.

    I heard a rumor that the Canucks are interested in acquiring Mason Raymon and Keith Ballard. Most likely so they can package a 1st rd pick with them and trade them for one of either Jamie Benn/Taylor Hall/Erik Karlsson .
