  1. EXTENSION: The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Blake Lizotte to a four year contract extension. Blake Lizotte: Four year deal worth $ 7.4m dollars ($1.85m AAV)
  2. EXTENSION: The Boston Bruins have signed forward Nick Bjugstad to a three year contract extension. Nick Bjugstad: Three year deal worth $ 3.6m dollars ($1.2m AAV)
  3. Making the trade to add Hronek is the kind of deal that brings value to the back end and helps get the team to the goal of being " competitive ". That the Canucks are seen as not competitive prior to the trade is also a valid reason to pursue this trade in the first place. What had fans been screaming for here ? a right handed top four defenseman. Management delivers and people in the fan base or the Drance's of the world move the goal posts on what is needed, acceptable and viewed as a proper hockey decision. You say he is not exactly the type of player that fits the Canucks needs and suggest he is a more one dimensional player who can simply provide offense and that's about it. He has previously had struggles in his own zone while he was maturing at the defense position. He plays a solid 5 on 5 game, can be relied upon to play PP and PK while also providing among all his offensive flattering tools a physical element to his game with some timely big hits. Suggesting the Canucks are out of place for moving a first round pick in the deal as again the team moved the pick acting like they were being competitive. Vancouver moved Horvat to obtain a first and utilized the later 1st round pick of their two this season to help secure a top four two way defenseman who can help stabilize the penalty kill as well as produce very good offensive numbers and provide another dangerous weapon for the Canucks on offense. Other attempts over the short tenure of this management group to bring in a higher level defenseman have not worked out, the Canucks are using the resources they have at their disposal to make things happen. Yes Hronek will be in line for a raise, it is not ideal when seeing the Canucks current cap situation and where this would put the team. However Myers should he not be dealt will have his contract expire when Hronek would be seeing a raise as well so there are maybe suggested issues moving forward but money coming off the book should make this a non issue. Not to mention this player will deserve a pay raise and be relied upon for some time in Vancouver. 2023, the deepest draft in ages....oh ofc ourse I mean until 2024! the deepest draft in ages lol, recency bias and the lead up to most drafts the suggestion is the current one is the stronger one. Yes this draft looks to be a good one, doesn't matter to Quinn Hughes, Petey, Miller, Demko, Kuzmenko etc that the Canucks could have been in line to snag two top twenty picks. Doesn't matter at all. Yet the Canucks still hold a pick in the top 11 and will do well in all likelihood in obtaining a very good player with NHL potential. You have to pay to acquire assets, to acquire pieces you think will help your team succeed. Vancouver did just that in this trade. Why is it a poor hockey move ? because there are elements of ultra negative media who spew it on our airwaves on the regular ? is it a poor trade because fans all want 21 year olds on elc deals, top draft picks and the hope of a future of one day a 20 year window by accruing top picks and 20 year olds for a decade ? The team's core is now, is developing into a very good core and includes some of the best players Vancouver has ever seen at their positions. Why would you rip the team for not keeping a 2nd round pick or having two first rounders ? Do people not see the potential and the offensive weapons being put in place here ? you want scoring and fun hockey, honest hockey well they are working on getting there and adding a highly offensive defenseman who may throw some open ice hits and some deadly passes in transition or a big shot from the point is just another element the team will benefit from. Yzerman did not fleece the Canucks, Alvin is starting to show he sticks to his guns, could even be shrewd and targets skill.
  4. WAIVERS: The New Jersey Devils have placed forward Brandon Saad on Waivers, he will remain assigned to Atlantic City should he pass through Waivers.
  5. CONTRACT TERMINATION: The New Jersey Devils have terminated the contract of forward Anton Levtchi as he has signed a multi year deal with Tappara. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/92085/anton-levtchi
  6. Babych was a pretty strong skater and extremely strong on his skates to be fair though. Ludwig did not have that agility and speed but was a tough customer.
  7. Best of luck to @Relyt Krets and the Lightning in our Easter Conference series!

  9. Hats off to GM @da.moose and the Capitals on another strong season and on taking the Division this year. Our series could hcoulgone either way really.
  10. I am unfortunately behind in my negotiations and will have more to post later tonight still have several on the go.
  11. Chicago was third worst in the entire league, so why would they not be picking one of the top if not top picks in the draft ? Canucks are positioned well to take a very good player, not sure what all the crying is about. End of the day the NHLers on the team are playing for jobs and to better their standing on the team and for team success, they don't care about losing to have a better draft pick, such a lame mentality of people hoping to tank or mad that the team improved as the season went on.
  12. Whats the " rush " ? Haha. I currently have around 20 negotiations and a quarter are needing to be posted. I wasn't putting a ton of time in as the Dispersal Draft will give the players a better idea where they may fit. If you just added one or two NHLers via Dispersal it DOES affect this. I have multiple teams with multiple offers wondering whats up. I cannot stress enough while its awesome that many teams want to resign ALL of their UFAs its not realistic. Anyhoo you will start seeing negotiations with myself begin to flow through in the thread moving forward.
  13. New Jersey is thrilled to select forward Aidan Dudas! @Devron
  14. I have no idea what that is lol, just figured it was points based. All good
  15. @canuck2xtreme are the matchups not set on the point totals from round one ? Which I was under the impression would be different matchups then posted here. Thanks
  16. Congratulations on a strong season thus far and your advancing to round two of the Playoffs @lethunder. Best of luck in our series and to the Sabres moving forward!

  18. Congratulations to GM @ActionJax09 and the Pittsburgh Penguins on a solid season. No Playoff series is to be taken lightly and while the Devils came out on top this year, you definitely played a part in this war if attrition that starts from puck drop in round 1. Its always a pleasure to see you build your team and using that keen eye to unearth up and coming talent, true competition every step of the way!
  19. Jan Rutta can be made available for one of the picks upcoming if anyone wants an NHL commodity,
  20. You also have to understand that unlike in the NHL for example where most asset and player valuations are known and accepted, here in the CDCGML it is very hard to get teams to see eye to eye on asset valuations. I mean you are not wrong but there are some real doozies here in this league that far over value their assets or specific asset types in this game. If you want to trade up there are some more even keel or realistic competitors in this game but moving up will likely mean you will pay out the a$$ to try and do so for the most part. Your best bet is to approach it while utilizing the gift of gab, a car salesman if you will, talk it up talk it up as opposed to showing examples that while they are realistic don't really fly here. Picks in any round later than firsts are almost akin here to players older than 20 years old or not currently on ELCs haha.
  21. @Canuck Surfer @Sharpshooter @Gator @Dak Prescott @Sludge The Devils are open to moving an asset from our organization to secure a player with one of the upcoming picks. If you want an NHL piece or other let me know.
  22. EXTENSION: The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Nick Jensen to a three year contract extension. Nick Jensen: Three year deal worth $ 12.15m dollars ($4.05m AAV)
