  1. EXTENSION: The Dallas Stars have signed forward Cody Glass to a three year contract extension. Cody Glass: Three year deal worth $ 6.0m dollars ($2.0m AAV)
  2. If any of the next few clubs are interested in adding an NHL piece or better asset in their eyes then what is left on the board in the draft don't hesitate to reach out, New Jersey is open to moving an asset to have one of their targets selected. @ActionJax09 @Primal Optimist @The Brindy Gypsy @Zenflamesfan
  3. The New Jersey Devils are thrilled to select defenseman Elias Salomonsson
  4. He is a sound hockey mind but he is very likely looking to continue his career as a General Manager and will have a few opportunities arise this offseason.
  5. I think the Bruins have more than 18 people in their hockey management front office now. Vancouver is only now being given an opportunity to build a front office team whereas prior years or under different management leadership the team was kept to a far smaller number.
  6. Generally picks with conditions cannot be traded and we cannot include picks in 2025 drafts in trades ( or I would have already dealt them all lol ). 2025 picks become an asset a team can utilize at the conclusion of the 2023 draft. I suppose wording could be made differently as we can't go back in time.
  7. Love it, there are dates on page one assigned to each GM for the purpose of making their picks. This growing impatience or bewilderment is hilarious. Yes he is in the Playoffs and has been active all season, his prime hours of being available are usually evenings and some late nights as he explained to me prior. Silly silly people. Oh and every time you tag him or quote someone wondering where oh where could he be you give him a notification reminding him he has to pick, which if it happens removes one more asset up the food chain for teams on deck.
  8. Also if teams have not heard back from myself as agent you can bump the pm or if I have not replied and discussed contract specifics with you yet you can also move your negotiation to another agent if you like. Thanks
  9. ATTENTION! @Relyt Krets has been added as a player agent to work on standard player contracts. Welcome to the Agenting world lol
  10. I should be around during the day tomorrow to work on some contracts.
  11. Congratulations to @canuck2xtreme on your first President's Trophy for the Winnipeg Jets and your league leading 10th Division title!
  12. Hats off to @ActionJax09 on a strong season in Pittsburgh and your Playoff berth. Best of luck in our series and to the Penguins moving forward!

  14. Nobody in the organization, no players, no coaches nobody is going into their day at work hoping to fail or come up short. This is a garbage fan and some media mindset. Sure getting a very good pick would be awesome, sure there was an illusion of a perceived bump with a large amount of games against poorer teams. But this management group has started to be able to produce their vision and they have the people in place now that they want and believe will turn things around. Its a loser mentality to hope for a better and better pick. Its a positive to see the changes the team has made in its game and I'd rather see a team try and go down swinging then just lose out to get a good pick.
  15. Why does the " bubble " not count ? was a legitimate NHL season with a Stanley Cup winner recorded. I know it doesn't fit the narrative but the Canucks were in the Playoffs that season and surprised some teams. Horvat was 4th in the entire Playoffs in goals scored and was a clutch scorer that season, that counts.
  16. Nobody is saying the team doesn't need to upgrade at defense. Very limited in what the club can actually do without hurting their cap situation further while trying to upgrade. Very likely going to need to be patient with the contracts we all know are hindering the defense. The rookies have stepped in nicely when needed and the two college signings have looked good in the literal few games they've played. So yes the team relies heavily on goaltending and I am honestly surprised Demko has been able to return and play at a high level. Management has stated they want their team to be more responsible in their zone and take pressure of the goaltenders but end of the day they are part of the team and you don't apologize for good goaltending.
  17. Agreed, it is laughable listening to people in the media and fan base this season talking about how this kid is a major bust. You read scouting reports on him from non-Vancouver analysts, scouts, media and he's this kid who loves to score goals, as much as an Ovechkin type, has an insane shot, sick one-timer, will go to the dirty areas and stay hard on rebounds etc to get the puck in the net, can be a slippery skater and also very good stickhandling and passing who can be hard to knock off the puck.....moving along to Vancouver based media and the fan base there is injury concerns, skating issues, a one dimensional forward who only plays a soft perimeter game, screaming a bust already. Yes he has work to do, no kidding, he is a forward who will be a scoring threat on a top six in the NHL, sure he may get top nine minutes as he develops but he will play in the NHL and be a goal scorer. Vancouver has a very good prospect on their hands and the hockey world has said as much.
  18. Woah tell us how you really feel haha. Cannot deny he lead the organization to 5 Division titles in a row, 2 Presidents Trophys, 5 Playoff appearances. Brought in key players for the team during their success in Hamhuis, Samuelsson, Malhotra, even Ehrhoff brought in for nothing. Re-signed Burrows to a sick four year deal with a 2m AAV, re-upped the Sedins and while he kept Luongo a Canuck that was a mega big dollar too long of term contract. GM of the Year award helps his case too I suppose. He did also bring in the likes of Ballard too so you can't win them all. Essentially the core was near intact when Gillis came on board, he finished molding the club into one of the best teams we have seen in Vancouver over a what ? 3 season period or so. He did not put resources into the prospect pool and had some questionable trades but he was the right GM for this team and nearly pulled off the Cup win which would than have anyone speaking of him only being known as the best GM in Canucks history.
  19. I hear you loud and clear, I would rather not see two clubs fold but we keep going into and playing out seasons minus GMs. It for me is a frustrating and tiring experience with over 70 PMs myself on the go and wrapped up with CDC members. There is minimal interest at best to simply join this league. Through my discussions which start with a general interest then turns into not liking the GML entry draft format, not liking team sheets, not wanting to use pickuphockey, not wanting to join a league with certain people in it, not having time to join another league. I think we have to be 110% open to making changes and hearing people's opinions and suggestions but the time I have put in to trying to find candidates frankly has left me disappointed and not really motivated to keep up with the rejection letters so to speak haha. I think if Dispersal takes place we should and will see changes to ensuring teams don't have anyway to hoard talent or play a tank game, while no rule against it definitely not ideal, that should simply not happen and if Dispersal adds potentially 45 ish NHL players we will ensure teams cannot dress less NHL players then a minimum threshold with exception of injuries. Teams will have to be motivated to pick up a player on Waivers or add someone who is not 21 yrs old and earning ELC money. The 5 to 10 teams who don't care to ice full lineups will lose that luxury moving forward. I realize new blood is what is needed to keep things going and growing and that is the hope, the goal absolutely. I personally am tired of seeing NHL players rotting on GM-less teams, assets needing qualifying offers, and teams not making trades etc. We have a lot of people question integrity and standard in this league over the years which is such crap, but I don't think the answer is meddling of an exec or volunteer group to keep teams maintained, it is very hard and time consuming getting traction and resolutions in these groups on just the day to day GML matters. I am as a fellow GM here 110% open to other solutions and discussions on the topic of Dispersal, I am one of potentially 32 though so let's hear what we can do?
  20. Yes exactly. But not to sidetrack things here. My apologies. The jersey's look great this year, hard to beat last year's iteration. Hoping for the Canucks to play the role of spoiler tonight, that would be an ok win in my books
  21. None of those dmen scream NHL regular yet at this point. A lot of potential. Livingstone signed with an opportunity to earn a spot. Like all these college free agents he very likely will be a mid to bottom of the lineup player. He being one of the better one's should get top four opportunity.
