      Yup. The win can be pinned on him. He played great overall. But he did flub on the empty net and took a penalty late in the game (weak call but he should know better than to wrap his arms around the guy). So IMO the loss would have been pinned on him had Finland scored on the gifted PP.

    Is it bad that I'm thinking of jumping on the Avs bandwagon? I think what I need to keep going here is another team to cheer for simultaneously so don't feel depressed 24/7. The Avs are just REALLY fun to watch right now... and it seemed like just yesterday we were blowing them out by 6-8 goals.

    Want to know the difference tonight? The Canucks played hard for three periods. The Ducks played hard for two. They're elite for a reason. The 2011 'Nucks made a habit of coasting for a period or two just like the Ducks did today. They knew we were no match for them when they turned it up.

    Well, after watching this board implode yesterday I think I'd like to clear up something. We aren't angry because the Canucks have been mediocre for 5 games. We're angry because they've been mediocre for TWO AND A HALF YEARS. Gillis has failed to address the talent deficiency in this team and some of you are actually content to wait and see if the Booth's and Higgin's on this team can magically turn into second line calibre players? What a joke.
