    Has there been any word on whether Columbus is giving us their 2017 2nd? They had a fantastic regular season, and it's a shallower draft so it makes sense but why no official word?

      June 1 is the deadline. No official word yet. Lindenning have been saying things, that would only make sense if we ARE getting the pick. So they might be revealing unofficial info.

      Based on how the Blue Jackets did this year + the consenus that this is a "weak" draft, I suspect we'll be getting this pick. We likely won't know for certain until closer to June 1st (either on June 1st or two of three days before June 1st). It'll be nice to actually have two 2nd rounders this year, even if it is a "weak" draft. Hopefully they can trade up into the first round with one of them in exchange for a bad contract and select Kailer Yamamato late in the 1st (I feel like he's this draft's sleeper pick).
