      The most ridiculous part of it all was that they gave Rigsby a tripping penalty after they waved the goal off.

       

      How could they conclude that there was goalie interference on the play and give the goalie a tripping penalty? Either she initiated the contact and the goal should stand or the goal should be called off with no penalty. What came out of it was a complete paradox.

      Finland scored the gold medal goal in OT (it was called a goal on the ice) but the goal was called off for goaltender contact (which I could agree with as contact was made which affected the ability to save the next shot). However, the goalie was arguably outside the crease AND the American goalie got a tripping penalty on the play which gave Finland a PP after the lengthy review.
