  1. He's just a CanucksArmy freelance writer. I don't think he has any real scoops
  2. Kerfoot's not worth it judging by my hockey pool. Whenever I had him he was trash and whenever I dropped him he lit it up. Inconsistent as &^@#.
  3. Pro hockey player while also being assistant GM and assistant coach of Medicine Hat? Incredible!
  4. Is Gaudette still exempt from waivers?
  5. Those two teams signed Karlsson to an overpriced contract and signed Karlsson to a great contract that I hope Boeser's looks like.
  6. A retroactive penalty in the current CBA which Aquillini agreed to. It's BS that other teams weasel out of it, but our owner agreed to this.
  7. Lu can say that, and pretty much admits it, but its still the Panthers organizations' decision if they want to put him on LTIR and pay some salary for a guy who won't play. I guess the 1 million recapture they have to pay isn't enough incentive. They wouldn't do it to help us. It's 2.2 MORE than then 800K we were already paying, right? Overall, its 3.03. Its just that rather than the 800K going into Lu's pockets, the 3.03 is just a penalty that nobody is actually being paid.
  8. so a net increase of 2.2? We're still hit with the 3.03. Just because we were paying him 800K doesn't make our cap recapture 2.2. It's still 3.03. It might FEEL like 2.2 to us since we didn't notice the 800K the last few seasons
  9. I'd rather he retire now than retire later, but LTIR is preferred. Question: what if he goes on LTIR now but then prior to the last year of his contract, comes off LTIR to retire (because Florida doesn't want to pay the money anymore). Would it still be a 8 million hit?
  10. Wouldn't it be nice to get Boeser for similar? Just settle for 6.6 million for 6 years. Not too low, not too long
  11. We could sign him for less than his arb value as a UFA, couldn't we? Though his agent and him may be potentially pissed about letting him walk.
  12. Hughes and Byram would not need protecting in the expansion draft. They would be exempt based on number of years of pro experience needed to be eligible.
  13. It may be the number but it can't be his number
  14. Rub it in, why don't cha? Coulda been zero mislynches. MR then OW. Always MR then OW
  15. @Stamkos @Master Radishes @luckylager @falcon45ca I added you all to DPS. Great first game Lucky, but remember that you were wrong about one thing
  16. We have never won a lottery pick have have only dropped in the draft. That's why any rebuild we're in doesn't look like a rebuild. Because we're missing the McDavid/Eichel/Matthews/Laine/J. Hughes types of player that we deserve based on the standings. Luck gave us Pettersson instead.
  17. I've found so much anecdotal evidence to the contrary on reddit/HF boards/twitter/CanucksArmy and equivalents, and I've thought for years that a team had to be cap compliant on the first day of the regular season without any LTIR, but apparently you're right.
  18. They have to be under the cap at season's beginning before they're allowed to put Clarkson on LTIR
  19. Bonus points if you can guess what I censored. PM me with any guesses
  20. Last words: I ask myself the same question. My head will stay firmly on my corpse @luckylager. I'm a TP. Spoilers there for nightfall tomorrow morning. Didn't want to leave you all in suspense. @Beluga Whale has massive trust issues. I blame him and @falcon45ca and @luckylager for my death. Keep my plan in mind. May not work but its better lynching me you **** *************!
  21. It's on BW and falcon. Vig better think about taking falcon out next round if Otherwise hasn't. Don't bother dusting that mantle place.
