  1. Can we name all these people? I only recognize Bo and Baer here Gaunce and Megna?
  2. Lucic's contract is worse than Erikssons and Edm only had to add a 3rd rounder and retain 12.5% salary to add a perennial 20 goal scorer with one off year. The caveat is that Neal's salary is nearly equal to Lucic's and so Edm didn't actually save any cap in dumping Lucic. We're looking to dump Eriksson without taking significant cap (or at least not equal cap) back. So it may take more than a 3rd to do it. When it comes to the player's remaining usefulness, Lucic is still 'tough' and Eriksson can still kill penalties with the best of them. So it would depend on what a team is looking for. Calgary has offense in spades without needing Neal and wanted more toughness after trading away Ferland. So the question is, which team has cap space and has a poor penalty kill?
  3. But would he have waived for Calgary? Much better team. Calgary doesn't need an Eriksson though if they're looking for toughness. Missed out on Neal
  4. The biggest disappointment of the 2019 draft is that we couldn't win that 3rd pick
  5. Jonathan Tanner Miller vs Joseph Taylor Compher If he went by 'Tanner Miller' rather than JT Miller, we'd have two players (Pearson) going by the name 'Tanner' at the same time. Tanner can't be that common of a name Edit: We also had Tanner Kero and Tanner MacMaster both play for Utica last season, though we have neither of them anymore. Not to mention the legacy of Tanner 'Fanner' Glass
  6. 24 year old Canadian Brayden Schnur, who started the year ranked 172, cracks the top 100 for the first time in his career after making the final of a challenger tournament in Winnipeg. He had previously made the final of an ATP250 event in New York earlier this year, and will play his first match as a top 100 player at an ATP event in Newport this week.
  7. Didn't he already acquire some centres this offseason? According to this, https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/team/vancouver-canucks/transactions we've added Tyler Graovac and Cater Camper who've both put up points at C in the AHL. Gaudette could also start in Utica to play centre. I don't see him beating out Petey, Bo, Sutter, or Beagle if those 4 are healthy and Gaudette needs to develop his game. If an injury happens we also now have Miller who can play some centre.
  8. I didn't even bother to check that, but yeah. His account has 22 tweets now. Wiped clean
  9. 35 straight healthy scratches and didn't play in the playoffs after being taken 14th overall. I hope Juolevi can overcome his injury setbacks and be more than a Honka
  10. How awkward that he $&!#s on some of Benning's moves on twitter and is simultaneously going through interviews with him to get the job
  11. Houston Rockets have traded their 2024 and 2026 first round draft picks. Can you imagine if NHL teams traded picks that far away?

    1. Baer.

Picks have less value, and NBA stars have more value in the NBA compared to the NHL.

Problem is there are far fewer roster spots on a NBA team.  Compare that to an NHL team.  And you’re talking about deal a 1st round pick 6+ years from now (one of the components in that trade).  Even in the NHL that would have limited value.

  12. He can afford to splurge on accommodations. Why go for the cheapest AirBNB you could find?
  13. They've lost Zaitsev and Gardiner and gained 1 year of Barrie They've lost Kadri and gained Kerfoot with Marner still not signed yet. It doesn't seem that much better. and if Barrie leaves next summer, it seems like their D overall is worse and the Tavares-Matthews-Nylander-Marner quadrafecta is still stupid expensive
  14. Prevailing theory is prequel but I wouldn't count out comic book shenanigans
  15. And Phase 3 of the MCU is complete. SDCC should shed some light if not reveal the entire Phase 4 slate. Black Widow, Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, GotG 3, Shang Chi, The Eternals, and inevitably Spiderman 3 will all be coming
  16. 2-3 years for the next spiderman maybe. The next MCU film is May 2020
  17. Looking forward to the video of all the Canucks 2018-2019 playoff goals next.
