  1. I wouldn't crown the must yet. If the 49ers finally get healthy they should offer a diff test if Crabtree gets back. He has the potential to be a X factor like Harvin. The problem with Denver is the defense I don't see them beating Seatlle in cold weather in New York despite how good the offense is. Would be a classic offense vs defense matchup in the super bowl though. Great defense almost always beats great offense though.
  2. CJ Gable is the X factor for Hamilton. They need to have him involved in the running and passing game. He could have a impact on the game in a big way positive or negative. Also Brandon Banks will be huge if he can rip off some big returns to set up the offence. I still don't know how Hamilton managed to pull one out on the road last week. Can they do it two weeks in a row? It will play in their favor if the weather is cold, snowy, and slippery. That should even the playing field. If they contain Sheets they can focus on pressuring Durant into some interceptions. The key will be Burris they need to get out to a lead and keep the crowd quiet because it will be really tough to come back if they get down early and spot the riders a quick lead and the crowd really gets into it. Burris will have to have a great mistake free game if Hamilton is too have a chance to pull off another upset. At the end of the day let's just hope it is a competitive game and Hamilton doesn't bend over and hand the Riders the cup. Go Tiger Cats.
  3. I'm looking forward to the Manning vs Brady match-up like everyone else. Also the Giants and Cowboys game which should be closer than people think because the Giants are starting to play better by getting Andre Brown back to inject some life in the run game and help protect Eli. Last but not in the least the Monday nighter should be a good game with 49ers vs Redskins and two dual threat qb's facing off. It's kind of the old school qb's going at it on Sunday night vs the new school guys on Monday night. Great contrast in styles.
  4. David Booth can the Canucks just trade him for a conditional pick and move on?

  5. This helps to explain a little of why Trent Richardson is struggling to "hit the holes". Apparently he has a wild sex tape going around being auctioned off to the highest bidder in which he has an orgy with 3 women. Must be hard to focus when you know that is out there... http://www.tmz.com/2013/11/12/trent-richardson-sex-tape-indianapolis-colts/
  6. What is the deal with these Alabama rbs except Lacy, Ingram and Richardson have both been underachievers so far.

Indy gave up a lot just to get Richardson.

  7. Ed Reed to the Colts to reunite with Chuck Pagano his d coordinator from Baltimore and former college coach also or to the Patriots because Bellichick has a gigantic man crush on Ed Reed. Tony Gonzalez should have done the same to get on a playoff team for the stretch run. Man if he was on the Chiefs all of a sudden people would actually take them and their record seriously. In other news Eagles signed wr Brad Smith. He can play wr,wildcat qb, and return kicks his versatility should help to plug some holes. He could even be a running qb change up for defenses to handle next to Nick Foles.
  8. The Bucs are not as bad as their record. Their defence is actually pretty good. They have good receivers plus a good back in Martin when he is healthy. Glennon has shown some upside and probably been of the best rookie qb's this year along with Geno Smith. The secondary is legit with Revis, Barron, Goldshon, now if they can get some solid play out of the other corner spot. I can see them having a Chiefs lite turnaround next year if they can add a couple more pieces. Not to the extent of Kansas City being 9 and 0 but they could have a winning record next year or be 8-8 at the very least.
  9. That was me calling out Austin. He finally looked like he stopped over thinking things and let his talent take over. Rams have plenty of time left in the remainder of the season to learn how to properly use him as a weapon. How about Riley freaking Cooper that guy has no speed and can't get separation! He has been getting lucky with dbs that are covering him are falling and he has some chemistry with Foles to make up for that. Eagles have been getting lucky the past couple of week's with the match ups. I fully expect defenses will adjust and press Cooper at the line more so that he can't get separation downfield. Tough day for the BC Lions today. Somewhat made up by seeing the Cowboys get obliterated. Eagles have a real shot at the playoffs in the NFC least. Giants and Redskins are not totally out of it either yet. Giants got some stability to their run game with Andre Brown back. San fran looks like they are going to struggle to hold off Carolina just to make the playoffs as a wild card team. They are too banged up to beat Seattle and challenge for the division. No Davis no Crabtree, Boldin is slow and can't get separation any more. They did get Manningham back though for what it is worth. Nobody is gonna beat the Seahawks at home. Their best chance was getting home field. I don't see anyone stopping the Seahawks in the NFC now with Harvin expected back next week. The only question is the AFC with the Broncos and how they handle the Chiefs and maybe the Patriots, obviously Manning's health and how he will fare in the cold weather are the question marks still. Barring unforeseen injuries I totally see a Seahawks, Broncos, Superbowl.
  10. The backbone of the Lions is supposed to be their veteran d. Though 2 years in a row they laid bricks and got burned for big plays at key times. Extremely frustrating too watch. Outside of the Riders big plays they didn't have anything all day. Sheets was contained and they couldn't put together drives. But they forgot about Durant and the qb draw not once, not twice, but 4 times on the same drive.
  11. That's the problem really, anything can be interpenetrated the way you want to see it. Including your world view. You could live superficially and in your comfort and sleep at night completely ignoring what really goes on the world everyday with people just struggling to survive with wars, conflicts, and natural disasters that happen and instead be absorbed in following what famous people are saying or doing all day. That is my only question. Do just accept being "blessed" and having the freedom to be able to live as wastefully as you want and go about your life being blissfully ignorant or what is really happening? Can anyone really do anything to change this system or is it simply another counter balance where people have to live uncomfortably in the majority of the world so that the lucky "developed world" can live in comfort.
  12. I'm really confused myself about life in general and my purpose. All I know is that in the world everything that everything has a balance if you will. Where there is day there is night, birth and death etc. What really boggles my mind is that really the way the so called lavish living of the "developed world" is a false pretense and only possible if half the people are fighting for survival daily. Science has shown the way we live now would not be sustainable if everyone in the world lived like this. The resources can't support this way of living. In order to live comfortably the reality is people have to suffer. But I have questioned would these things happen if there was a higher power. I would say I am a bit of a skeptic. When I was younger I was raised to pray before bed and first thing in the morning. It wasn't anything that I made a conscious decision to believe or not believe.
  13. Been contemplating my life a lot recently.. Feels like my life has been a joke so far. What is my purpose why am I in this situation while half the world is trying to just survive? So hard to understand..

Volunteering seems like a good place to start. Donating time and money yes I will try. I just want so show and express that I realize how truly fortunate I am and that I don't take for granted for all I have.

  14. I agree this story is confusing and also the media is trying to tie this into widespread bullying these days being experienced by kids and the fact that these players are role models to kids and are sending a bad message by condoning bullying. This is the reason the story is big and of course the racist and homophobic angle. There is more to this story who knows if it will come out ever. There has been speculation about Martin's sexuality and his perceived softness but I find it strange a guy who could play for Harbaugh while at Stanford would be soft. I can't imagine how the Dolphins can focus with this story playing out still and in the very early stages. There season is probably going to go in the tank. Not that they were gonna make the playoffs anyway. If anything it is a bigger pr hit and to their organizations credibility especially if it comes out that management and coaches had something to do with this and encouraged Incognito to get on Martin to "toughen him up".

  16. https://soundcloud.com/awfulannouncing/dan-le-batard-v-mike-golic-on Pretty good tete a tete on mike and mike on the whole Jonathan Martin situation. With Mike Golic taking the jock "meathead" position and dan le batard as the rational guy.
  17. Booth and a 3rd round pick to Tor for John-Michael Liles. Get it done Gillis.

We have one of the best D in the league.. We don't trade our weakness to acquire more of our strength..

I'd rather not trade draft picks away for players we don't really need, we've done enough of that in the past

I'd only consider Booth for a center or picks.

  18. By the sounds of it Incognito basically made Martin his personal bitch. Hazing is just an excuse for bullying and taking advantage of guys. Reminds of the Prince Amukamara thing though this way over the line making fun of him not being a real black guy and being half-white? Telling him that he is gonna find his birth mother and slap the crap out of her? This is way worse than an angry drunk racist outburst by Riley Cooper. This guy is a worthless piece of crap who should be kicked out of the league and sent to counselling. I'm sure he has some major personal issues and an inferiority complex which he projects onto an easy target like Martin to make himself feel better. Stupid outdated traditions that are taken too far. I understand light-hearted jokes and ribbing to "initiate a rookie with the vets in the locker room" but this is way over the line he is treating him like a slave and demeaning him psychologically.
  19. Holy moly Foles doles out 7 td punishment and pounds Raiders in the Black Hole!!! How Foles follows up this performance is more important and key however. The Eagles have either found their franchise qb or this is a Matt Flynn once in a "how the frack did that happen?" performance. Either way he didn't have any pressure in his face and he absolutely carved up the Raiders defence.
  20. That movie had the potential to be much better. But it had its bits. Danny McBride was solid as always.
  21. I'm so pumped for the game vs the Leafs tomorrow. Game of the year so far. Canucks get a chance to beat the best in the east right now.

Being in first does not equal the best team in the conference. If that's the case then Colorado are the best team in the NHL.

Yeah never gets old beating the Leafs. Also Scottish Canuck, is there not a saying that goes "you are only as good as your record"?

  22. I think Lulay will start vs the Riders barring any setbacks experienced in practice this week. Benevides should play coy and not reveal who is starter is going to be till the middle of the week so that the Riders have to prepare for both Pierce and Lulay but hopefully not in any circumstance DeMarco. Buck looks like he got banged up though hope it is not anything serious. The run game is getting hot at the right time. With the uncertainty at qb they need to ride Harris and Logan. Sucks for Harris though to miss out on a 1000 yard rushing season by 2 yards only. Hopefully the Lions are saving a few formations up their sleeve with Harris and Logan that they use every couple of series next week. I like that they are lining up Lumbala on the line of scrimmage as a TE to help with run blocking.
  23. I thought Harvin was real close to coming back? Besides even without Rice and Harvin. Tate, Kearse, and Baldwin are still good enough. Kearse despite being a rookie is not a huge downgrade over Rice as much as people think. He is big and has enough speed to get deep and can high point the ball, especially in the end zone. Seahawk fans are crying over not having Rice but they are gonna get Harvin back. Besides they still have Tate and Baldwin, I know Revis can lock down but Riley freaking Cooper had a field day going against the rookie corner opposite Revis in Jonathan Banks. That makes them suspect outside Revis Island. 49ers don't have Crabrtree their best wr from last year or Manningham yet. They rely solely on Boldin and after having a couple big games early he has done nothing since with another receiver to take coverage away from him.
