This team is too good for a tank. We suck, yeah, but we have too much talent. Tanking means trading everyone and playing AHL'ers which isn't going to happen. Sorry I'm a realist. We won't be tanking. Expect a 10-15 overall pick.

Alvin just said he wants players 25 or younger. Any Horvat trade has 25 or younger coming back. It's not a traditional "rebuild", but it's more than "retool on the fly". Rebuild means tearing down the studs and starting from scratch. We have some solid pieces. Pettersson, Hughes, Podz at the very least. Again we will see how the Bo trade turns out to determine how I feel about this management group. I haven't agreed with everything they've done but have liked most of it. If we can get 2 solid roster players under 25 (one RD, one C) with good potential, and a pick, I'll be happy with it.

I agree. Personally don't think a rebuild is the answer. Players like Pettersson don't come often. We have a solid piece. Potentially two more in Hughes and Demko. This is a young team that needs an overhaul and some structure. It will come. They will grow. We're all impatient due to the previous regime.

We were handcuffed by his QO. I wouldn't have just let Boes walk to free agency. He had all the bargaining power, thanks again to Jim Benning. Max Bo is worth is 7.5. Agree to disagree I guess.

Because we're 30 games into the season. 30 games. He put up 99 points last season, and is still close to a PPG. I haven't been a fan of his game this year at all, but again the pitchfork mentality of this fanbase is strong again. Bo is not worth anything more than 7M. If he signs anywhere higher than 7M this team is screwed. I personally am excited for him to be traded and a new leaf to turn for this franchise. Never been sold on Bo as a captain. We can simply agree to disagree on things. I think this management group can fix this mess that Jim Benning left behind. Reality is we're handcuffed from a handful of terrible contracts, mostly handed out or traded for by Benning. IMO this fanbase has PTSD from Benning. We endlessly supported him and his "direction" for 7 years, so I can see why fans are impatient with this current management group, and might struggle to accept losing a trade or a signing from time to time. I personally have faith...

Horvat trade will determine what this management team is about. I like Mikheyev, management had an eye for him. We need more guys like him. Kuzmenko was a good pickup. Bear has been a good pickup. Hindsight the Miller deal is looking scary. Stillman trade was a bit of a miss, but others have said we wouldn't have gotten Bear without it. IMO I just think the pitchfork mentality is out a little too early for this management group. It's only been a year. The Horvat trade will completely determine what this management group is about. I'll reserve judgement until then.

This team isn't the current management's fault IMO. Changes are coming. Be patient. This core is trash aside from Pettersson. Everyone should be available aside from him.

IMO our "stars" are just overhyped. Miller, Bo, Boeser, Garland needs to be shaken up somehow. 2 or 3 of them need to go. Pettersson is out and these guys need to freakin show up. I feel like if we had a group of guys with size who grind and play hard, we might have a chance this game. These guys are all afraid of getting into the dirty areas when it counts, and no-show when their superstar is out. 10 shots and no goals is embarrassing.

Where is JT Miller tonight? Hasn't even started his $8M dollar contract and he's nowhere to be found. If he's making that amount of money he needs to be a difference maker.

IMO the big difference here is Petey is from another continent. Vancouver has become his second home, whereas Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Tavares all wanted to be home or closer to it.

Petey was sent home from practice I think (last Sunday?), and misses today. He's probably just feeling the after effects of the Flu. Apparently it's pretty tough this year. Brock took warmups and wasn't feeling well on Wednesday aswell.

I wouldn't say HE was bad.. WE we're bad. There's just rumors that Schmidt and the rest of the team just didn't jive very well, and he wanted out after that one season.
