I agree Deb. We absolutely have dead weight tied up, but we don't need to completely dismantle. I think we can all speculate or agree upon who needs to go/who is underperforming. With some of those players gone and being replaced with younger, faster, cheaper players we have a solid freakin team.

I haven't been this excited for a game in a hot minute! Hoping Brock can continue playing well. It's night and day out there for him since the "scratch".

Brock's been playing well since the "scratch". I'd rather just keep him if he can keep this up. Seems to be a real wake up call for him. Here's to hoping this team can go on a tear and transform into what we know they're capable of. I really don't think we need a full tear down but just need to get rid of dead weight (Pearson, Myers, Stillman, OEL, and I'll throw Garland in their due to his cap hit). If we can replace all those guys with younger hard-nosed players I think we could be a solid team. Only snag is OEL is immoveable. Not that no one would want him but I don't think he'd be willing to move at all with his NMC. But even Myers, Garland, Pearson, Stillman gone creates $15M in cap space.

Resign him. We need to rid ourselves of guys who hold dead weight.. (Myers, Pearson, and maybe Garland). I honestly think this team makes a push. Atleast I hope... Unless we're clearly eliminated from playoff contention by the TDL, hold onto this guy. I want him back next year. He's a leader and from Bruce's own words "the voice of reason". Makes me concerned about the teams current leadership, but that could all change this summer. All I know is I want him back and I feel that if we trade him the chances are slim for his return. He's going to get some great offers if he hits UFA and I'm not sure we can compete given our cap situation.

That stretch is going to make or break this team. Personally I think this team makes a run out of it though. We play the flames on New Year's Eve aswell. Those three games combined against the Oilers/Flames could really determine our season. Huge 4 point games.

I sure as hell wasn't anointing him as the saviour. I'm sorry to tell you but Martin doesn't deserve the start next game. It's not that Delia has earned it, but Martin has lost it. Not really sure how you can justify giving Martin the next start? Also, if anything I am the biggest supporter for goalies as I am a goalie myself.

I agree. They are honestly the biggest reason why we are so trash. Thank you JR and Alvin for not addressing the defence this offseason! Wolanin - Burroughs would atleast be capable of not turning the puck over 20 times a game. Give them a shot!

Delia deserves the start next game. Martin has been below average and seems to have lost his confidence. Starting role has gotten to his head.

Sorry Deb I know he's your boy but he's pissed me off tonight. Just wish he would be a game breaker.

Negativity brings more clicks, likes, and listens. I absolutely agree it's good for the sports broadcasting business, especially with a market as big and as passionate as ours. It still doesn't change the fact that Elliott is very specific with the way he words speculation vs. rumor vs. fact. IMO he's the best in the business. The whole situation with Brock was blown out of proportion by fans. Ellicott can't be to blame.
