Arizona is in a perma rebuild. They wanna rebuild the way CDC wanted to rebuild way back yonder. Only play sub 25 year old players. Only gather picks. Keller is likely next. Guy is almost 25 too. Old man in a rebuild. Which means, there is no way they are touching a fossil like Horvat. Guy is 27. No place in their rebuild.

Not sure about that... To win you also need experience... Look how long it's taken Edmonton... And they haven't gotten there yet.  Look how many years it took Colorado.  Not always the best formula to win with.  Bo is a good captain with great character.  He could really help those young players develop the right way.

  2. Sooo.... Horvat + Rathbone for Chycrun?

Horvat would automatically become one if not their best leader.  #1-2 center.  Stabilize their center depth for the future.  They'd still suck bad this year and end up getting Bedard.  Rathbone gives them a cost controlled young up and coming defenceman that can't find a spot on our team anytime soon in left side.

Don't want to lose Bo... But not sure we can keep him going forward anyway... Also, Arizona will want at least one high end player, so I don't think a Höglander, Rathbone plus high pick would be taken seriously by coyotes.

We'd lose very important center depth but man... If Chycrun can play rd... All of a sudden, we would have an above average defence.

I believe we get better as a team overall but by how much?  What say you?

He's been putting on every city's jerseys on this tour. A die hard Canucks fan would never put on a Kraken or Jets or Sabres jersey. He'll do the same schtick in Toronto just to appease the fans. The man should just stay in his cave until December.

His number one passion is being a  performer.  Followed closely by enjoying making millions from his #1 passion.  Shooot... I know I'd do the same thing... And I think if you were being honest you would too.

Also, as a 2020 pick, he's set to make his regular season NHL debut before 11 first round picks from that same draft class. He's also the first 2020 draft pick in the Canucks prospect system to make his NHL debut. None of the Canucks 2020 picks seem close to the NHL and none of them are even in Abbotsford right now.

He was double overages d+2 year before being drafted.  So he's 22 yrs old, he's aman. :bigblush:

    Sorry... Couldn't resist!

Regardless, a 6th rounder overager doesn't almost ever even get a sniff in the bigs.  So bravo for sure.

Demko is going to get shelled this season to start with an even worse defence in front of him than to end last season with Myers and Dermott out, but hopefully as they return we'll be better. We're going to need him sharp to start this season for sure.

Here's hoping the best defence is offence!  Will be in tough against Mcdavid though...

Not sure I’ve been this excited about a potential waiver wire pickup. Not sure what this says about the Canucks defense

Yah I hear you... Also think it has to do with this unique time in which the salary cap has been flat and more than half the league is capped out or at the ceiling anyway.  So some better players on wire than would have been in the past.  Tomorrow should be interesting.  Nucks management might have positioned themselves quite well.  With their recent trade.

From listening in the past I think Whitney is actually pretty good. He can have some pretty good analysis, just being their East coast guys obviously they didn't watch a ton last year as evidence by him not knowing much about OEL.

Their video didn't bring much though, Biz is a knucklehead here & it was pretty much an admission they didn't follow the team much last year, the OEL part made it clear.

So why bother... Stick to what they know.  Otherwise they are doing a disservice to themselves and our fan base.  I find it flippant and disrespectful.  Just reinforcing the old center of the universe narrative.

That's why I prefer the hockey guy.  Yah he's a canuck fan... Along with Boston and Dallas but he follows all the teams.  Anyway my point being.  If you don't know or care to know what you're talking about... Maybe you shouldn't say anything at all in those areas.  Just my 2 cents.
