Yah ray Whitney wasn't bad... Had skill a good athlete for his time but maybe just a bit more upstairs and a bit more heart than say, Virtanen... Enough to get by. I just don't appreciate anyone who rests on their laurels... But hey, I guess they're supposed to be entertaining.

No they're worse then that. Because they were NHL players, they think very highly of there opinion. However, they were bottom of the line-up players that were never considered high IQ or character teammates (they were good at standing up for their teammates from time to time... I'll give them that). Fun time, practical jokers... Old school puck heads. Whatever.... These guys have never said anything positive about the canucks and as you mentioned, it doesn't seem like they pay any attention or watch any game the nucks are in. Super biased and dismissive. They just don't care to do the work and really have a meaningful take. There bread and butter is paying attention to the eastern teams period. Nothing to see here...

Isn't he the same height as saros? Maybe not the average size of goalies these days. But you can't quantify heart, will, fight and IQ. So Dipietro has no worth for trade right now, but see how this year goes. See if he proves the doubters wrong.

Yup! He's already made the team. He fills a glaring hole on this roster for sure. Höglander-Lazar-Joshua against faster skilled teams. Dickinson-Lazar-Joshua against heavier grittier teams Lockwood next up. Best 4th line we've had since 2011.

If petey has a great year say 35 goals and 95 points. He'll probably get in the 10 range. I don't think, even with the rising cap, that he'll command 11+.

All I'll say is... Bruce looks a little concerned. He knows we can't transition the puck out of our end effectively or at all without Hughes. I'm sure he was hoping Rathbone could be a Hughes light... And maybe he will be at some point. But that ain't the case right now... Nothing's changed on the back end from last year. And the forwards aren't coming back deep enough to support their D either. That's a serious problem... I know JR and PA said they don't want to trade draft picks but... Since they doubled down on Miller... That means winning now right?! So why not trade Garland or? And a high pick to get a decent right D.

He's our new Stetcher... Bigger, tougher, buta little less a dynamic skater and slightly less hockey IQ. But... Like Stech he has a big heart, tons of effort and is loved in the locker room. Hopefully our #7 or 8 this year.

I appreciate you posting because I won't support let alone subscribe to these tools! I dislike both of them so much. Glad there are many options now to get half decent canuck content.

Glad we have depth... Gives us a chance to compete until we're healthy. In past years we'd be in trouble already... Same old same old. But this year we have a chance to weather the storm and have a good start to the season.
