  1. Sounds like that school knows what's good! But, no, I went to a high school in South Van lol
  2. Fine, try homemade ice cream and baked french fries
  3. Don't knock it 'til you try it! Next time you drive by a DQ...
  4. I also like to dip my fries in soft serve ice cream
  5. I have done ketchup, McChicken sauce, and Sriracha sauce on fries. I sometimes do that, too.
  6. Hahaha I meant I was disappointed in Pizza Pops (not that I was a big fan to begin with though). But thanks for saving my taste buds, guys!
  7. Sorry to hear that you're dealing with anxiety and depression. But sometimes just talking about it (even anonymously on a forum) can help. It at least gets your thoughts and feelings off your chest. It sounds like you're seeking help, so I think that's a step in the right direction.
  8. Wait, there's a poutine flavoured Pizza Pop? Since when??
  9. I hired someone out of desperation, and now I kinda regret it.
  10. Cider, fries, and hockey. What more can I ask for?

For myself I could ask to be 50 years younger, so I could still enjoy the cider, the French fries, and still see the darned TV!

  11. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get why some people post status updates on their Fb to specific people when they could've easily just texted or called or told them in person. For example, one of my friends would post thank you statuses to her husband almost weekly (sometimes multiple times per day, actually) for the most mundane things. They're sweet posts, but does everyone on Fb need to know that he watched the kids while you shopped for groceries? I mean, he's their father, so isn't that, like, what he's supposed to do?
  12. Super slow walkers who are in the way. If I can walk faster than you with a sprained ankle, you're going too slow.
  13. Maybe it's a little bit of SAD? Also, apparently the winter months is what is known as cuffing season.
  14. I know a little bit about how it feels. Being Asian, there isn't a lot of fair representative on TV/in movies of Asians. We're always portrayed as nerds, or fetishized, or just some weirdo in the background. But don't give up. I think that change is happening right now, and it's moving in the right direction. I think that us Canadians tend to think we're more accepting and inclusive than "those Americans". But we've conveniently "forgotten" how we've treated Indigenous peoples in the past, and how we still have prejudices against them now. We're trying to repair relations, but there's still a lot of work to be done. My ex is part native, so I've heard a little bit about his struggles. And, being Asian, I'm also no stranger to racism.
  15. There's a special place in hell for rude, contentious customers.

    2. Odd.

      Odd.

"tomorrow's news flash": roger customer service gunned down by an angry Rogers customer. Some scenario you'd probably see in the states

my first job was in a restaurant and it amazed me how many times someone would be rude to a server prior to getting their meals. Needless to say a little bit of payback got included in their food.

      It's called Walmart.

  16. When people don't read signs properly, then start causing a scene by yelling about how "your signs didn't mention anything about that!" You're just embarrassing yourself, really.
  17. LOL yeah, not a fan of Telus (or really any of our wireless/cable/internet companies tbh), but the Optik guys take the cake for being the most aggressive, condescending, relentless a**holes ever.
  18. Definitely have not seen as many as I would like. Our Lady Peace (multiple times) Metric (multiple times) Backstreet Boys Adele Paul McCartney Descendents Muse Going to see Sam Smith next year EDM shows: Gareth Emery (multiple times) Above & Beyond (multiple times) AvB (multiple times) Hardwell Arty Zedd Eric Prydz Morgan Page Ashley Wallbridge Emma Hewitt Christina Novelli John O'Callaghan Ben Gold Paul van Dyk Audien Super 8 & Tab And I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some.
  19. A tip for people who are job searching: make sure you spell and grammar check your résumé. Also, don't wear jeans to the interview.

@Psylocke my guess would be a nice pair of Wranglers or Carharts and a nice shirt. Don't wear your work boots though, but bring them along in case they take you out to their field.

Reminds me of the story my English prof told me of a Resume class he was teaching.  A student relied on spellcheck too much.  Pour student said he had vast experience in "wharehouses".  Yeah, spell changed the vowel, didn't get rid of the consonant.
