  1. I like the Invisible Six Million Dollar Man more Anyone know if there's a Loui Eriksson Canuck Highlight Video around?
  2. WWE need to protect Sheamus/Cesaro w/o The New Day dropping the Tag Titles. The WWE is just waiting for The New Day to break Demolitions record since Demolition is currently suing the WWE. So it's like when Orton broke Brock's record as the youngest World Champion, and Nikki Bella breaking AJ Lee's record.
  3. Here's the scenario which I think may play out. Survivor Series Sasha Banks wins the Women's Survivor Series bout for Team RAW. Ask one more chance for the Women's Title, Charlotte agrees and has a Title vs. Career Match (no rematch clause) at Roadblock for an Ironman Match. I was pissed that Sasha lost here. Their HIAC match was good enough it wasn't great but I would have been satisfied if Sasha gone over. What happened was Charlotte beating Sasha with her "TV" finisher that caught the crowd off guard. The HIAC PPV did prove that they need to remove gimmick PPV's now. None of the Hell in a Cell matches warranted being Hell in a Cell, the closest was Rollins/Owens but this was mostly because of the segment with Jericho but even that could have been done w/o the Cell.
  4. So Playing Franchise mode in NHL 17. Tanev's potential is an Elite D-Man, meaning Vancouver better keep Tanev no matter what.
  5. I was assuming part of Olli's game is his offensive upside as a Dman
  6. Could the same argument that Olli Juolevi played with the same team as Tkachuck as well?
  7. I hope so. The other thing that worried me is during the 2014 draft the analysts said his biggest weakness is creativity which I assume means his hockey IQ. Now correct me if I am wrong but isn't hockey IQ that characteristic that allows great junior players to become good NHL players? The other worry is if he was able to dominate the junior level because of his size but lacks the hockey IQ, it really reminds me of the reason why Cam Barker turned out to be bust. Of course that's a worst case scenario but I am sure there are other players that had similar strengths and deficiencies drafted early on but never lived up to their draft position.
  8. Well the Sedins and Perry were like 0.5 PPG in those early years Virtanen has 13 pts in 55 games and it's not like he was impressive in the world juniors either. That said he was called up earlier than those players so I'd give him one more season to pass judgment. If he can show improvement and contribute more offensively even if's not a big boost (maybe 30 pts in 82 games?) then promise will start showing.
  9. That's Ryan Miller x 2. Overpayment but hope it works out for at least 2/3 of the contract
  10. Horvat was also off the board. I think Central scouting had him like #15 But of course there's Patrick White or Nicklas Jensen (Saad was the next BPA).
  11. I don't think so http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-stars/stars/2016/06/27/stars-announce-qualifying-offers-nichushkin-oleksiak-lagace-stransky
  12. http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectbrowse.htm?cat=1&sort=finalRank&year=2016 He's ranked 5th in NA Skaters.
  13. Tkachuk is almost 2 PPG player in the Juniors and shows he can play in the playoffs, Virtanen is a PPG and Boeser a little over a PPG. You can't get enough scoring especially at the insane production he has.
  14. If he's that good why was he ranked below Tkachuck and Alex Nylander? Both are wingers so if Juolevi is that good as a PMD wouldn't he have been ranked higher?
  15. That is if Juolevi does become a PMD. Defense is really hard to gauge in scouting unless you are Doughty or Ekblad and that's probably the reason why Jones dropped in his draft year. As least Tkachuck is apparently NHL ready and you already expect some elite scoring from him. Just bummed Canucks went from being 3rd last to dropping to the 5th overall to having a chance of drafting a player that was seen as someone that dropped but could have been the 3rd overall according to some scouts. To drafting a player that is probably 6 and 7 in most rankings. Isn't the #1 rule in drafting in the 1st round is to get the BPA?
  16. If Jordan Subban can make the leap in the NHL as a Torey Kurg like OFD how cool would it be to see a Tryamkin/Subban pairing nicknames anyone? "David and Goliath"?
  17. Except 10 to 15 pounds lighter
  18. Going to agree on you on most parts but people were saying a week ago Tkachuck would have been the 3rd overall and is NHL ready and in the playoffs it shows that he can score, something Vancouver needs (29th last year) as much as Defense.
  19. Vancouver had Tkachuk on a silver platter. I am so pissed right now.
  20. I am not a huge NBA fan and only watch occasionally since most of my friends are NBA fans. But I don't get the mockery Lebron James gets when he loses at the finals. If he goes 2-5 in the Finals that's still 7 finals appearance and two championships. I'd say that's a heck of a run. I mean the NHL's supposed "greatest player" today Sidney Crosby only had 3 finals appearance and 1 championship (any maybe another one). Heck even Mario Lemieux only had 2 finals appearances. And these players were generational players in Hockey. So not sure why people make fun of Lebron if he loses in the finals.
  21. NBA from where I'm from is boring people in my country watch and follow it a lot but they don't have any affinity for a team. Back then everyone had Lakers jerseys, and Heat jerseys, and now people are wearing Warriors merchandise. I always laugh inside that for a country where basketball is a religion and NBA has a following no one follows a team from thick and thin.
  22. McNally is a Canucks prospect drafted in 2010. He is an American that decided to take the college route in Harvard. It looked like Benning had a hard time signing him so he was traded at the last draft for a 2015 7th round pick. Note McNally was drafted in the 4th round. Apparently McNally is a big stud D-Man and is seen as a PMD. A prospect Vancouver could have used. I said the McNally situation because it's like trading Boeser's rights for a 4th round pick.
  23. I sure hope this doesn't turn to another Patrick McNally situation
