  1. I'm staring to see a bit of pattern in this homestead Caps, Bolts, and Wings all lost to the Oilers. Only to win their games against Vancouver. I'm starting to think these teams are using the Canucks as their "bounce back response" after a loss to the Oilers Buffalo also lost tonight. So there's a chance Buffalo could come in hungry to "avenge their loss"
  2. I said it before and i'll say it again. If Canucks make it to the playoffs. I will change my opinion of Benning from a bad GM to a below average one. Even if the team makes the playoffs (which what we were all hoping before the season started) the question will be if Benning gave up too much of the future just for this season. So far the team is not yet in the playoff spot and if Canucks still miss the playoffs this would still be a disaster considering OEL's cap space and giving up draft picks.
  3. I would like Halak too on paper. But giving that NMC is very questionable.
  4. I think considering there's a goalie deadlock where we are scared to let Demko sit out a game in so Halak can't start and the team can't do anything about it because of Halak's NMC. Nah Benning had to get fired. Because for some reason Benning though it was a good idea to give a back up goalie (even if it's Halak) a NMC.
  5. This is the worst case scenario. Much like how Canucks responded after the loss in Jersey. A poor performance by Tampa probably means they will be more prepared playing against Vancouver. I guess similar how the Caps bounced back after losing to Edmonton.
  6. I'm not being negative but this homestead is the best opportunity to collect as much points as possible. Problem now will be is after the trade deadline Canucks will be facing some beefed up playoff teams (provided they acquire a player) and this probably includes Vegas
  7. Ovi can pass Bret Hull in career points in this game. And we all know how milestones are set at the expense of the Canucks
  8. I remember some early comparisons of Boeser to that of Patrick Sharp. I thought of myself Hawks had Sharp to win the cup so awesome
  9. I'm secretly hoping Benning becomes GM in another team gives the Canucks some picks for them Can anyone say 1st round for Poolman ?
  10. If somehow Poolman and Dickinson can be traded I would consider going 2 million for 2 or 3 years
  11. Yeah. I think it was in Sportsnet that they said Benning has a tendency to get a particular player he wants instead of getting a player that might cost less and had similar qualities. I guess another analogy is why go Maldives (which is very expensive) for a vacation in the beach when there's probably cheaper alternates ?
  12. It will be a talking point. End of the day ownership allocated those funds.
  13. But don't player agents still use comparable contracts the club has given out regardless who the current GM is? It's like If my manager hired me with a salary of $60,000 a year. Even if that manager leaves other employees in the same or similar position as myself would want the company to give them a similar salary
  14. The Beagle signing is basically someone wanting a PlayStation 5 but is willing to pay $1200 for it in Ebay
  15. Meh all stars are a joke to begin with. I mean don't get me wrong Boeser being MVP is great and I love the John Scott moment and the charity stuff is great too but overall it's pretty meaningless
  16. We can't rely Vegas to be this average though. All teams have their slumps and in confident Vegas will get out of it sooner than later
