Yeah unfortunately the NHL and affiliated media has a tendency to try and be cool it feels quite forced. I always cringe when that happens lol I love hockey, the Canucks, and the game. But let's admit it NHL will never be as cool as the NBA or NFL. NHL trying always makes them look desperate

I found this interesting She mentioned the Canucks 5:40 mark basically two things: Penguins and The Canucks made the most deadline deals it lead to cup success and Canucks no Most important, and more relevant, is that she says that none of the deals Canucks are doing at the deadline is helping or accelerating with the rebuild. The fact that a light hearted video from Sportsnet about the trade deadline had enough time to discuss how bad Canucks are in rebuilding. Shows how embarrassing this has got for Vancouver as an organization.

Exactly I didn't mind if Vancouver had to move on from Tanev but only if there was someone to replace what he can do and bring to the table. Though I guess Nate Schmidt was supposed to be that guy but that didn't work out -

So I guess we are Ralph in the Out of Town Scoreboard with LA vs. Vegas Go Banana I guess -
We can't know for sure how Spencer will perform as a more long term back up but Id imagine it can't be worse than Halak's previous starts and also the cap hit will be less

Add that the teams Canucks play will be some good and top teams of the west. Even Arizona, who Canucks face twice, are getting hot now. Which means I might just predict LE getting a Hat trick in the next game at Vancouver lol So right now Canucks probably need 30 pts to make the playoffs. Going 15-5 is a big ask for any team

[PGT] Detroit Red Wings at Vancouver Canucks | Mar. 17, 2022

Yep but I will probably wait until the offseason to trade Miller unless there's an amazing return somewhere already. The best case scenario here is if either Calgary, Colorado, Vegas, Florida, Toronto, or Carolina suffer a 1st or even a 2nd round exit. These teams, provided their GM remains the same, will get pretty desperate and possible offer more for Miller than what they would offer in the TDL. The best hope is if Colorado has another early exit. Kadri is a UFA next season and with his crazy numbers this season he's probably going to ask for an extension that Avs can't afford. They might see Miller as the Kadri's replacement if that is the case. -

Yeah as erratic and unpredictable Rutherford can be he has gotten results and I would take unpredictable right now over predictable Benning. Like giving up more draft picks during the off-season and carrying that OEL contract for a long time. -

I agree I guess the point I was trying to make is that that they have to prepared early in the game since these teams will come out guns blazing.
