I would be interested to hear about a trade that would accomplish what you foresee for the Leafs. They are a team that can fill the net in the early part of the season, but the losses start to pile up as the season wears on and teams clamp down on defense. I think that the Leafs are short at least two top four defenseman and Freddy Anderson is good, but not elite. There isn’t enough grit in their bottom six and you can’t run Mitch Marner out there to block shots on the pk. It would take the mother of all trades to put the Leafs over the top and we haven’t seen many of those in the salary cap era.

@Hockeygod77 just trying to carve out a niche for himself amongst the all time great troll meisters on CDC. Young felliow, it takes more than a few posts to be in that conversation. To measure up to Clutch, Desi Boy and some of the other all time greats takes persistence and stamina. You can’t just post crap for a few weeks like Fedor Fedorov, and then disappear. I think that all Holland’s talk about another rebuild is just a case of setting the bar low for himself for the coming season. If the team plays well, he looks like a saviour and if they don’t, then it’s because of the rebuild. For Holland it’s under promise and over deliver. IMO their plan is to retool. I don’t think that you could sell another rebuild to Connie Mc J.

Bruins are playing for each other. It will be a great day for the Canucks when we have that kind of camaraderie. The same can be said for the Blues. They are playing hard and they play for each other. Two great teams going at each other. I’m enjoying this series a lot more than the last few. All the talk about the officiating and diving detracts from the games. May the best team win.
