I also think that family history plays a big part. One of my colleagues has aging parents with Scottish lineage so she places huge value on the Monarchy and Scottish tradition, plays in pipe band and even went to London this year to pipe for the Queen's Jubilee.  She's really devastated. The fact that it's a reminder of her own parents mortality is also a factor I'm sure.

These emergency alerts freak me out.

Should make for an interesting summer round these parts.

Notwithstanding the age bit, Richardson is just a short term get us through to the end of the season insurance policy to help the PK and 4th line with the trade of Motte plus allowing the team to send players back to Abby for their playoff push.  I'm really happy that the new vision is more than just the next couple of weeks.

@SILLY GOOSE Depends on what you value. I never owned a plasma, but compared to any plasma, the OLED is as thin as an iPhone and unlike plasma, gives off NO heat.

But for me, my priority is black levels and nothing compares to OLED in this regard. Once you go black on OLED you can never go back to LCD. 
 

As for motion, I think plasma is hard to beat although Sony’s motion processing is pretty much right there.

Black Friday is pretty much the best time to buy one if these bad boys.

Bought a 65 inch OLED last fall and I'm in love. Movies are incredible on it and sports is another level.

Bert got the biggest cheer of any player there last night. The standing O could have gone longer had they not cut it off. Gave me goosebumps honestly. So glad fans gave Bert a lot of love given what he went through here. 

Started slow, finished strong. Could just see him growing in confidence as the game went on. Can see him start to take over games once he starts to feel more comfortable.

I'm doing the same thing.  I'm listening to/watching both pre-season games plus surfing on CDC. Not even paying attention to the Monday night NFL game.

The league and refs tried their best to get it to game 7, but credit the Raptors for fighting through all those non-called fouls. I mean frig, they were basically molesting Leonard multiple times every time he went to the basket with no fouls being called, yet if a Raptor laid a finger on Klay or Steph, the whistle went.  Game management by the refs just looks so bad.

Normally I don't give credence to these types of rumours, but when multiple seemingly legit hockey insiders such as Friedman are suggesting that the Canucks are pursuing him, I start to wonder if where there's smoke there's fire.

The Canucks fired their DJ this season.  Aquaman selected the playlists? Or maybe his kids did. Either way, this team can't even figure out decent tunes to play let alone any gimmicks...which I'd be against. Just play great tunes and have some good looking cheerleaders who also scrape the ice and I'm good.
