He is signed for another season at 850k. I don't get the people that would like to see him dealt. He is big, tough, has great character, wants to be here and best of all he is cheap...the perfect #6-7 Dman. Most predictions would put his value at a 4th round pick, when was the last time a 4th round pick panned out for us? I'd rather keep him for 120 games than gamble on getting 120 games out of a 4th round pick.

There are plenty of teams that would have made offers on demko before the expansion draft. No way we would have lost him for nothing. I'm glad we kept demko though, Marky is great but I don't think his body will hold up throughout his big contract. I think the biggest hit was losing tanev, if you take hamonic off the team and put tanev back on we are so much better and Quinn would have the Ying to his yang.

I agree that the Calgary package would be the most intriguing but all 3 pieces are far from a sure thing. Kuznetsov could become a top 4 but he could also be a #6-7. Coronato looked great in the USHL but I'm not sure he can dominate against grown men. Could be a top 6 nhl player or he could be a ahl all star. If thise 2 fizzle than your hopes of getting value becomes a 20ish overall pick. Not the best odds on that one. If I'm trading Miller there has to be a young player coming back that is ready to play now. Otherwise we run the risk of having nothing to show.
