@Baer. That's not the point.  It will be used to colour the Republican party of today as a party of racists.  With the upcoming elections, it 's not a good look for them in swing states.

Reagan has been used as their hero for every election from 1988 onwards.  They've even been trying to put his face on money for quite some time.

Apparently I missed that.  I'll have to carve out a little time over the next few weeks and replay DA2 and all of it's DLC's.

It sounds like Bioware's existence is riding on DA4 being a big hit.  What do you want to bet EA will greedily interfere and make them put in something along the lines of microtransactions into the online multiplayer play instead of being happy with making a solid but dependable profit from the main game along with DLC's.

No.  Not even close to their biggest issue.  Even if they SJW in DA4, I'm still likely to play it as long as they don't go overboard.

The combination of EA interference and Bioware's best talent getting fed up with everything and leaving is what has Bioware on it's deathbed.

They got REAL lucky with DAI.  Read up on the making of that game on what a true cluster**** that game could've turned out.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I do remember DA2 being rather short especially compared with Origins and definitely compared with Inquisition.  Didn't they also only do 1 small-ish DLC for it and then shut down production?

I recently read something that said a lot of games only truly come together when developers are given a firm deadline by the bean counters.

My entire point is that if it was just that one thing in the game, I wouldn't have considered it pandering.  The game taken as a whole though along with what's been going on with movies, TV, online programming, etc., Bioware jumped on the bandwagon.

Since Inquisition was the last game of Bioware's that I've played and it's already a few years old, I can only go by what others have posted about Bioware since and it seems like they continued on with it. 

Like I said though, I'm only a very casual gamer so I haven't played anything they've released since so I can't comment with any first hand knowledge.

Andromeda didn't flop because of an anti-SJW backlash. It flopped because it wasn't a very well written or designed game. You know the exact moment Bioware started going down hill? It wasn't when they started to have inclusive romance options, it was when they were acquired by EA.

I never played Andromeda.  I didn't have an interest in it, but the two biggest complaints I remember are first the horrible unrealistic facial texturing and two that they continued their SJW preaching.  I'm obviously only going on second-hand information so I can't speak in as much detail about it as anyone who has played the game.

Bioware started going downhill when all of the original people that made it a great company just got tired of playing by their corporate lord's (EA's) rules and jumped ship with their bags of money left over from turning Bioware over to the corporate overlords in the first place.

I was pretty disappointed because I love RPG's and I knew the quality of Bioware as a company would plummet once the old guard left.

@NewbieCanuckFan I remember being ok with it.  Though to be fair, unlike the other games I only ended up playing it the one time so I guess that says something since over the years I've played through Origins 4 times and Inquisition 2 times.

Funnily enough, Inquisition has the same number of romance options for straight males as Origins did.

Google "bioware sjw pandering" and you'll see a multitude of videos and articles as well as a deluge of gamer posts that have pointed out what's going on.

In the video I posted to you, it shows the discrepancy in the male and female player character romance options in Inquisition.  As for how many options Origins had in comparisons, I can't speak on that.  I'm just a casual gamer and in that game I only romanced the holy chick and the evil one voiced by Claudia Black.

@HerrDrFunk My apologies.  I've obviously developed a reading deficit....  However my point still stands that even though it was mainly based around the one npc, the trans pandering was there.

@HerrDrFunk  I just double checked, you quote "trans-pandering" but I never once wrote that.  Putting words in my mouth that I never said is a poor way to make a point.  Regardless, you keep trying to steer the conversation into more than it is.  My biggest gripe is that I'm tired of being preached to by privileged Hollywood people who all too often don't even practice what they are preaching.

As for the Iron Bull dialogue, it's perfectly acceptable to hint at taking things too far with a partner?  If it was a male character saying the exact same words to a female character, the SJW whining uproar would be deafening.

As for your last paragraph, you're just hopping on your righteousness express train again.  The original Dragon Age:Origins had roughly equal gay and gender-specific romance options as it did straight and nobody really cared because it never came up unless you actually chose it for your character.

Hollywood reflected, not pandered to, the majority of the public with as you put it, "the white, American, Christian demographic", because that was and is the overwhelming majority and has little to do with "evolving".

It's still the majority, but the SJW's became so loud that it eventually started to become a celebrity cause to pander to them.  Since it's celebrities that run Hollywood, the pandering made it's way into entertainment and has now hit at break-neck speed like an out of control locomotive. 

I'm friends with a college professor who still laughs every time the schools and Universities that he teaches at comes out with a new catalog.  For the last 5-7 years they all have been going through great pains to make sure they have 1 of every race on their cover and that there aren't too many white people represented inside the pages.  It has nothing to do with evolving for most, they just don't want students protesting outside their office doors and accusing them of being racists.

@HerrDrFunk There was a little more than mentioned here like some trans pandering in the tavern I still remember, but this was the crux of it...  You'll see even in the video where they were fine with a character explicitly threatening gay rape, which nobody blinked an eye at publicly, but were only willing to put certain kinds of SJW-approved female characters in the game.

I have it starting at the SJW pandering part which lasts only a couple minutes so no need to watch the entire video if you don't want to.

They're not just doing it in movies.  It's also hit TV and streaming services.  It was even in a friggin' computer game I played a while back(DA:I). 

I've been considering cancelling my Netflix subscription because not only is their original programming starting to seriously decline in quality, but their shows are trying to force feed me their values when all I want to do is sit back relax and be entertained. 

As for movies, I used to love going out to watch them, now not so much, so now I just go to see blockbusters and have stopped going to see smaller budget movies completely.

I'm too old now to have an ultra liberal "progressive" Hollywood d-bag try and force his world view on me.  It's gotten very tiresome and I've completely shut myself off from wanting to listen.
