Back then CDC used PhPBB. Now they use Invision. Not sure what kind of retro extensions Invision offers. You'd have to go look at their hosting site.

Security doesn't equal design. They change designs because if they don't people will get bored and stop using the product.
For the free boards, that's no big deal because others would pop up to replace them, but for the paid boards like Invision who makes and hosts this board, people would lose their jobs if they sat back on their laurels and let the product go stale.

Those old sites were security nightmares. I should know. I used to run one. I had to make sure to keep it up to date, and even customizing some parts, or risk getting hacked.
By the way, pro tip: Anybody who thinks their private conversations over a message board are encrypted.... they're not. Any Admin with database privileges can peruse it and read everything you write to another member. It's stored as plain text.

That would surly suck if it repeats. I have more hope for the Sabres this time around though since it's all 4 lines powering them through and not just the top line this time.
I think Boston or Toronto will win the division, but I'll be satisfied if the Sabres grab a wildcard berth.

@luckylager I'll be happy if they do well enough to snag a wildcard playoff ticket in the end.

When did fans stop throwing hats and stuff onto the ground for hat tricks?
I just noticed how few hats are thrown now a days after watching highlights.

I'm getting tired of NHL's choice of scheduling, we only play 5 games in the first 15 days of the season, but in March we play 15 games with three sets of back to backs right before playoffs.....

They're definitely going to slow down sooner or later because they have mediocre goalies, but they aren't "continuing to suck" as of right now...
So far Krueger looks to be an improvement over Housley.
