  1. Who else remembers Frank Seravelli saying in June 2022 that Demko should be traded asap as his hips are bad and he won't last? I didn't think that was an accurate report but he has had multiple hip surgeries and sure looked like he had a hip injury on a save tonight that looked like a major injury.
  2. Stillman has had his games now. Good job by the Canucks pro scouting staff. Can I say that Granato is doing a lousy job or is that not allowed?
  3. Anyone else remember Benning saying you build a team from the goal out? Lol. I keep thinking of that with all the discussion of Forwards and the lack of solid D. Benning - what did you do?
  4. Same people said the same things about how lousy Hughes was and how he needed to be traded when he had a team worst plus minus a couple of years ago. By the way, he turned it around. They said Hughes was terrible defensively, overrated and we needed to get rid of him. They don't say that anymore.
  5. Canucks made the decision not me or other fans. They got it right.
  6. Yes and as time goes by it should become harder. The earlier guys get an easier time cuz they are breaking ground. This is universal with all teams.
  7. That was Bure. Luongo was not Bure. We also drafted Bure. Luongo came here as his 3rd team. That makes a difference when you are going to retire a number. Canucks got this right.
  8. Lol Gretzky was Gretzky. Luongo was Luongo. Non starter there partner.
  9. Nah He is in the HHOF for his career accomplishments playing for 3 different teams. . As a Canuck he wasn't here long enough to have his number retired. ROH was earned. Jersey retirement was not. Canucks got this right.
  10. Thanks for doing this JIAHN because I am tired of reading comments from people about how screwed the Canucks are on the cap and drawing wild conclusions. It is clear that 1 player move is needed to sign both Horvat and Kuz. One more is needed if we want to upgrade on D. I expect they move someone like Pearson and sign Kuz and Bo. If they can move Myers they can change the D. If not it has to wait until one more year when Myers contract is up.
  11. I don't think you are well. Take care my friend and I think I will leave it at that.
  12. The comparison is that both players were maligned at times in their careers but at age 25 were very similar stats wise. Kessel then took off after age 25 for several years.. The point is that Boeser could very easily have several big years coming up just like Kessel did between 25 and 30. People need to remember that Kessel used to be hacked on like Boeser and he then became a very good player who went on to win cups.
  13. ok partner...Kessel was 25 in 2011/12 those were years the Canucks scored the most goals in their history. Lol. You just don't make any sense but thanks for coming out.
  14. What are you talking about? At 25 their numbers were very comparable and Boeser had slightly better numbers. Boeser may turn out to be like Kessel the next few years and be a point per game player or better - that is the point. You don't make any sense at all partner.
  15. At age 25 Phil Kessel had 374 games played and 245 points. At age 25 Boeser has 340 games played and 270 points. Boeser has career .79 pts per game. Kessel career has .78 pts per game. Point is after 25 Kessel went on to have several years scoring a point per game or better and wound up getting traded to Toronto for the 2nd and 9th overall first round draft picks. Don't give up on Boeser yet folks.
  16. interestingly Boeser has a career points per game of .796. Phil Kessel has a career points per game of .786. Kessel's numbers at Boeser's age were very similar then he had several years where he was over a point per game before coming back down. He was traded to Toronto for two first round picks one was 2nd overall the other was 9th overall. Boeser may have several big years in his future just like Kessel did - both players were maligned for their speed and were doubted at times. Let's see, I don't think you want to dump Boeser early - that could turn out to be a big mistake in terms of missing out on a much higher return later.
  17. Should be possible. No need to tear this down when the offense is one of the top scoring teams in the league. Find a solution on D.
  18. Yes Boeser and Garland are tradeable but it depends what you get. There is no need to dump anyone. Podz and Lockwood cannot replace their offense adequately though. We will take a hit to our offense so we need a good return or don't deal them until that return is there.
  19. Update Nov 27 Canucks are now tied with Calgary and a point behind Edm. We have 79 goals - one behind Vegas with a game in hand. We are about to become the top scoring team in the pacific division. We started 0 - 5 - 2 and have gone 9 - 5 - 1 since. I think the blow it up cheerleaders need to take a back seat and see what happens in the next 20 games. This might just be a top offensive team that needs to add two good D and will be a solid playoff team. Maybe they can do that maybe not. But blow it up - nah. Not yet. Knee jerk blow it up cheerleaders may yet turn into bandwaggoners and start cheerleading for us to go deep in the playoffs. Let's see..
  20. We are a game away from becoming the top scoring team in the pacific division. We have 79 goals which is 1 behind Vegas but we have a game in hand. We are the 2nd youngest team in the Division. Calgary is on average 2.5 years older than us and we are now tied with them in the division standings. And we have scored 18 more goals than them so far. Fix the D and let's go.
