That's fair. I dont like to be too harsh on people right away, but perhaps the fan criticism coupled with Travis Green's coaching actually really helped Jake get to this point. He strikes me as an honest and caring person, and I'm happy he has seemed to thrive from criticism rather than buckle which would really sucked for him, us fans, his teammates etc. Nothing wrong with you being undecided- I think that's the smart thing for a player like Jake. He still has a long ways to go. What excites me most is his commitment to how he plays without the puck. IMHO if he can keep that up, I see no reason why him and Horvat couldn't have great chemistry together.

Of course it would be short sighted to proclaim Jake as a NHL star already. People are happy (like myself) because we saw the raw talent Jake has, and the potential he has to develop that into something very useful for the team. I continue to believe he can keep getting better. I take it your one of the types who wrote Jake off early? Feelin a little salty?

Not even Tyson says his actions were justified, but within the context of the fight I think it helps create a better understanding of why it happened. Yeah it was wrong, but Holyfield was being a D bag as well

What Ive noticed the most is his puck pursuit- maybe not honey badger Hansen like but he is going after the puck hard. Really great to see and if he can keep being consistent with it its going to win over the coaching staff. His conditioning has improved, but as a young guy still needs time to develop it. I'm really happy for Jake as he was and still is one of my fav prospects on this team.

Speed and strength is mostly what he needs to work on. Playing in Finland would be good for that

I liked it. There is one particular moment that is intentionally ambiguous that got a little under my skin, but overall it was a good, tense watch. I probably wouldnt watch it again either though.

I'm not too worried about Bo's contract at all. The last bunch of contracts have been quite good (yes Loui still has a lot more to prove). If they want to do something long term then it could be a little more tricky- if Meehan is looking for a bigger pay day for example. If that fails a short term contract that keeps him as a RFA is definitely something the Canucks can do right?
