  1. Wilder and Fury both have weak defense so it's a toss up. Joshua could take both out though. Too bad he's ducking both.
  2. haha yeah trust me I'm not watching those or trying to do the crazy human flagpoles/things like that.
  3. I visit this thread once in awhile to lurk. I find it motivating to see the types of workouts people are doing and having success. I've been focusing on calisthenics for the past while and am finally having success with it. 6 months ago pull ups seemed like they were never going to happen but now I can bang them out with proper form nice slowly. The next movement I'd like to learn are L-sits.
  4. Awesome to hear. His scoring is getting a lot of hype as of late (which is great) but I liked when the Canucks drafted him that he was good all around player. Boeser surprised me in that regard as well.
  5. In the WJC I thought he showed good defensive awareness. I havnt seen any of his SHL games though. How has he looked on d?
  6. What would be your signature sushi roll?

Im thinking 'Sushi in the Sky with Diamonds'

  7. That would be a great fight to watch. the pre-fight drama would be ridiculous. I WANT to see a GGG Jermell Charlo fight badly.
  8. Roussel Sutter Virtanen

  9. Props to Mikey Garcia and Terrence Crawford. They continue to win tough fights convincingly. Also, do the Charlo brothers kind of scare me?
  10. I view Leipsic the same way I viewed Virtanen when everyone was doubting him- he has the skill and speed to succeed in the NHL. Points will come and will come easier if he adopts a 2 way game like Virtanen has. Ferraro described him as a 'darter' and that's a pretty good characterization. As long as he helps the team/his line by being quick to pucks and keeping the puck in the o zone that will be a good development year for him. I dont think he needs to light it up. Just play to his strengths and hopefully points will start to come.
  11. For all the hate MDZ gets and trade Tanev talk, those 2 (and Stetcher) went to the hospital and stayed there when Boeser got badly injured.

His offseason training looks pretty intense. I'm thinking that he'll have a solid season coming up.

The burgeoning team atmosphere that's slowly building here is really great, and is something that can't really be manufactured. Having that overall positive team chemistry mixed in with the acquisition of more physical players will make the Canucks a team that other teams won't really be looking forward to playing.

I think the Canucks might be doing the injuring more than being injured this coming season.

i look at the left side as being, edler, del zotto, hutton and pouliot. if hughes, juolevi, brisebois and sautner show they can make this team, whose place do they take? it isn't about hate but about logical rotation. we all know that our defense last year, wasn't good enough.

  12. There's a great article about him in the Province. Im starting to understand why JB was so high on him. If he does develop into that skilled but nasty forward it could be great for this team.
  13. Totally!!! I was listening to him on the Pat Cast and kept thinking why does he think he is a physical only player? You watch him play and you can see he has some good offensive instincts and seems like he has some good agility. The more I watch him play the more I see a Hamhuis like player- a good 3 zone player. If he turns out that way that's a pretty good player to get isnt it?
  14. I think Hughes is gonna show up Makar

I only wonder if JB would've taken Makar over Pettersson

@Ghostsof1915  too late! All aboard the Hughes hype train!

  15. Another high character kid with good upside if he can keep developing. Excited about this player!
  16. Not necessarily. I was the same in my teens but in my 20's I was able to develop much more athleticism and muscular endurance and weight increased. But to your point maybe he will stay naturally slender, maybe not. Really hard to say until he starts getting into his 20's, even then I guess we have to see how it all plays out on the ice.
  17. As much as I dislike him in our Div. Id love to see the Nucks go after him. Fingers crossed for a Hoffman esque deal!
  18. Who are some of your favorite power forwards left in the draft?

    1. Jaku

      Jaku

Ryan McLeod. 6'2, 206lbs. Skates like the wind and is dominating physical player. Just needs to find his scoring. Could be more of a top 9 shutdown guy.

I feel like he'll be gone before 37, but Serron Noel would be a great add.

  19. This kid's character seems off the charts. Him and Boeser are really impressive in that regard
