  1. If the Canucks just had a capable third line C, I think this FWD group would give opposing team fits Miller EP Garland Dickinson BH Hoagie Pearson xx Podz Motte Lammiko Bailey/Highmore
  2. Totally not trying to sound harsh but offense would be in short supply from that line. Id Sutter was in his younger days it would be a tough line to play against though
  3. Dickinson is not the 3rd line C he was hoped to be. If Rutherford really wants to make some noise, somehow acquiring a capable C could shift Miller back to the wing (imo where he belongs) and a Miller EP Garland line could be dangerous. Not sure who the Canucks can target but that move alone could really improve the team
  4. people complain about Chaisson but I am so done with Hunt
  5. I wonder if theyll stack Miller on Horvat’s line or keep him as 3C
  6. optically it makes a ton of sense, esp. if they pair up Roslovic with him but this is the kind of deal that gets done in the off season. Maybe next years TDL if CBJ can agree to an extension with Miller. Problem for the Canucks is the gaping hole of size, scoring and position that losing Miller leaves. If Johnson is too pricey for CBJ, you could look at Foudy as well
  7. He coached in the WHL where they won a championship, and coached in Utica where the team lost in the Calder Cup finals. I wouldnt say he was gifted the job and at the time there was a lot of external pressure for the organization to promote him. As for Green’s future-thats on him. Maybe hes done. Maybe not.
  8. I said in my previous post, Green was too strict with his philosophy and that’s on him. The way he sees the game didnt work here. The line juggling was a consequence of that, and irrelevant really.
  9. Look, fit matters. Torts was ridiculed by this fanbase but its clearly obvious he has a style of play that requires a certain type pf roster over another. Green’s philosophy didnt work with this roster, and he wasnt able/willing to make adjustments to fix it. That doesnt mean he is necessarily a terrible coach. Maybe Greens philosophy is too strict given how variable roster construction is, and thats on him. But, you havnt come within a millimetre of playing or coaching in the NHL. I suggest you check yourself and relax before making such broad and definitive statements
  10. Personal life/professional issues aside, here’s some footage of Kane in the AHL (vs Abby). I was so happy when the Canucks acquired Ferland but I hadnt watched him much post CGY-he just wasnt the same player. Kane here might be playing it super safe, but I hope the same doesnt apply.
