The script needed an extra edit or 5. Had flashes of Sin City in it but not nearly as entertaining as that movie. Very disappointing. 1 hour too long. Dr. Manhattan's blue schlong flopping around was unneccessary. If the director had any "balls" he should have shown his junk when he grew giant size. NEON.KNEE Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Just got back from Watchmen... 8.5/10..... would have got 9.5/10 if they had stuck with the original ending from the Comic Book. The execution and production values were over the top The casting was spot on and the accuracy to the comic (except for the ending) was damn near panel for panel perfection. I've heard alot of non-comic book readers slag the film, which makes we realize why the film makers didn't use the original ending....if they had showed the original ending in the theatre I was in I am sure people would have gotten up and left before it was completely over. tru-blvr Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas A strong 9/10 This is a must watch, especially for those interested in WWII/Holocaust movies. It's a very touching story & very well made, in terms of cinematography, editing, etc. The little boy in the movie is just amazing, impressive acting skills from such a young actor! The only reason why I didn't give it a 10 is because there were some moments that didn't quite add to the substance of the film or maybe I just didn't understand the symbolism? Anyways, watch it! Anyone else notice? They've all been around 700 MBs but end up only being 5 seconds of graphical glitches.
