So, Osama bin Laden is standing before God waiting to hear his punishment, when God gets a tap on the shoulder. Behind him stands 343 firefighters, 72 police officers, one K9 officer, 3,000 American citizens & over 5,000 soldiers. "Don't worry, God, we got this!"

If there's no God, there's no anything, no you and me, no Earth, no sun, no universe, no nothing.

How you think the universe come to be? And how did the particles and other materials that formed the universe exist?

AQ confirms Osama bin Laden death. From the Washington Post.

The statement, dated May 3, was the first by the terror network since bin Laden was killed Monday by U.S. commandos in a raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The statement’s authenticity could not be independently confirmed, but it was posted on websites where the group traditionally puts out its messages.

“We stress that the blood of the holy warrior sheik, Osama bin Laden, God bless him, is precious to us and to all Muslims and will no go in vain,” the statement said. “We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries.”

“Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness,” it said, “their blood will be mingled with their tears.”

In the statement, al-Qaida also called on the people of Pakistan — “where Sheik Osama was killed” — to rise up in revolt against its leaders. It also said that an audio message bin Laden recorded a week before his death would be issued soon.

UN requests details on operation to kill Osama bin Laden. From Guardian.

Two United Nations human rights watchdogs have asked the US to provide details about the operation that killed Osama bin Laden, in particular whether it ever included the possibility that he could be captured alive.

A series of questions have arisen about the potential legality of the mission after it emerged that four of the five people killed when US Navy Seals raided the house in Abbottabad, Pakistan, were unarmed, Bin Laden among them.

Pentagon officials initially talked of "a great deal of resistance" from inside the compound, but it was revealed that American forces only came under fire in the first few minutes of the operation.

In a statement released in Geneva, the UN's special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Christof Heyns, and the special rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, Martin Scheinin, said the US "should disclose the supporting facts to allow an assessment in terms of international human rights law standards".

They added: "For instance it will be particularly important to know if the planning of the mission allowed an effort to capture Bin Laden. It may well be that the questions that are being asked about the operation could be answered, but it is important to get this into the open."

Their call follows a demand by the UN's high commissioner for human rights, Navi Pillay, for "a full disclosure" of the facts connected to Bin Laden's death.

In their statement, Heyns and Scheinin acknowledged that such issues were difficult to gauge during anti-terrorism operations. "Acts of terrorism are the antithesis of human rights, in particular the right to life. In certain exceptional cases, use of deadly force may be permissible as a measure of last resort in accordance with international standards on the use of force, in order to protect life, including in operations against terrorists.

"However, the norm should be that terrorists be dealt with as criminals, through legal processes of arrest, trial and judicially decided punishment. Actions taken by states in combating terrorism, especially in high profile cases, set precedents for the way in which the right to life will be treated in future instances."

Both rapporteurs are law professors. Heyns specialises in human rights law at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and Scheinin is professor of public international law at the European University Institute in Florence.

In Fla., another bin Laden mansion sits empty

By TAMARA LUSH, Associated Press

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – For sale: a five-bedroom, Mediterranean-style mansion with a red, barrel-tiled roof and arched doorways and windows. It even comes with some notoriety as it was once owned by one of Osama bin Laden's brothers.

Khalil bin Laden, one of the terrorist mastermind's 54 siblings, bought the home in 1980 for $1.6 million, but the wealthy businessman and his family fled their vacation spot under police escort shortly after 9/11, fearing they might be targeted because of the terrorist attacks. The 1920s-era mansion has sat empty ever since.

The home is in Oakland, Fla., a quiet small town about 20 miles west of Orlando. There's a pool, horse stables and a four-car detached garage. It has fallen into a bit of disrepair due to vandals and humid Florida weather, but the real estate agent in charge of selling the property said it can easily be restored to its previous grandeur.

Asking price: $1,999,000.

Khalil bin Laden's children used to run up and down the stairs, playing near the quiet lake in the back when the bin Laden name meant wealth and prestige. Then came Sept. 11, 2001.

Eventually, boards covered windows that overlooked the 1,200 feet of private lake shoreline.

In February 2006, at the height of Florida's housing boom, Khalil bin Laden sold the property for $4 million, property records show, to a businessman who later went bankrupt and was sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud.

The home was eventually foreclosed on, said Autumn Norris-Makin, the Florida real estate agent who has been trying to sell the property for over a year. It was recently named by Forbes as one of the "creepiest abandoned mansions" in the U.S.

Norris-Makin said she's had a lot of interest despite the asking price. One person was thinking about turning the property into a bed and breakfast.

"It's an amazing property," she said Wednesday. "But not a lot of people have that kind of money right now. It would sell in a second if everyone knew the economy would turn around."

dream on. no evidence what so ever. just hot air and stuff in people's mind. it's about as real as santa claus and snow white. nice story, and only a story. the fact all the major religions are arguing about who is right tells you enough. every one thinks they know the truth. The only constant is that there's no proof. any rational person would come to a conclusion that there is no god. The more certain a person thinks there is a god, the more certain that he is making it up based on just conviction. it's a delusion.

man made constructs existed since the caveman days, what makes any of the current major religions any more true? why not a hundred different gods, why just one? and why not a muslim god vs jewish one? all bunch of BS.

on another note, al queda acknowlege OBL is dead
