Primal Optimist
Off the Record OTR caught up to Primal Optimist on his way to a wine and cheese event this evening, and got a rather candid statement. Well, I am not sure if any one else would have done what I chose to do this week. We turned Nick Spaling into a young defender, John Moore, We turned Christian Tomas through two steps into Steve Mason, the quality backup we desperately needed. In another multi step change we converted our 7th overall pick into Carter Ashton, the 24th, 50th and 59th or 60th overall picks. Traded Sulzer for Klein on the blueline, more as an even swap to help a real fan get his guy, and rather infamously traded Tom Sestito for young netminder Mike Murphy about 45 minutes prior to Mike announcing on Twitter that he was signing in the KHL. Well, mistakes happen, but on the whole grande scheme picture, I think I did the right thing by enhancing an already decent team without selling out the core. People may think I was rash in more than one move, that is Okay, The New York Rangers don't intend to finish 7th from the bottom again for a long time, but we realize there is some risk in relying so heavily on the older veteran Dmen, particularly if either chooses to retire sooner than we think. Take care and have a good night, and to anyone out there thinking they missed out on an opportunity there are plenty more, I am always open to proposals, but I wouldn't ask a player to waive an NTC. SheaWeber6
Just looking for some clarification: If I want a player from one of the two teams in the final in real life (LA or NJ) do I have to wait until the playoffs are over, or can I trade for that player if the team that has him is out of the CDCGML playoffs?
