What's Your Favorite Beer?

I recently discovered Howe Sound Brewery, which is located in Squamish. They make some FANTASTIC beers. Most are sold in 1-liter bottles (which have the stopper, so I'm saving them for home brewing). I bought a couple on a recent trip to BC, and was overjoyed to find them in Calgary at Co-op.

These are the ones I tried, in order of my preference:

#1 - King Heffy

An AMAZINGLY smooth Hefeweizen, despite packing 7.7% alcohol into it. One of my favourite beers right now.

#2 - Rail Ale Nut Brown

Thick, full flavor, without feeling remotely heavy. Also likely to be a permanent favourite.

#3 - Devil's Elbow India Pale Ale

A lot fuller than your run-of-the-mill IPA's, yet smooth as silk.

#4 - Bailout Bitter Ale

I think this one was just a short-time offer. Too bad, as it was quite tasty.

#5 - Total Eclipse of the Hop

An 8% IPA, not quite as smooth at the other offerings.

My go-to beer: Sleeman Honey Brown

Most hefeweizens - Bleue Moon is my fave, Pyramid is good too

Rickard's Red and White

Alexander Keith's Red Amber Ale

Bleue Moon Summer Wheat Ale (sweet but delicious)

I find that I'm liking a lot of the craft beers that are coming out of Colorado.....the Yanks are finally coming around lol

Now that I'm in Ontario I've had a chance to taste the Central City Red Racer IPA out here and I can definitely confirm that it doesn't travel too well. It was still pretty good, but it was kind of a "meh" IPA out here. It's fantastic in Vancouver though. The aromatic nature of the cascade hops just doesn't do well with travel it seems.
