morrissex95
This is pretty sad for Florida fans. They've missed out on Big Joe, Rick Nash, Eric Staal, etc. Unbelievable.
Langdon Algur
This is also too bad for Boston fans since Luongo is way better than Wayne Simmonds, Marco Strum and Brad Stuart. Then again Thomas and Rask have worked out pretty well for the B's too
MistuhMan
Then Thornton was traded for Sturm. Boston got trumped in that one.
Matthew Lombardi 18
You know what else could have done so much for their team? Drafting Eric Staal and Rick Nash instead of trading down for Jay Bouwmeester and Nathan Horton.
MoneypuckOverlord
Wow, to be honest, I be damned if we were offered a Thorton calibre player in return for luongo today. A lot of people will take that trade for obvious reasons.

RyanKeslord17
Well we could probably get Thornton for Luongo now.
D-Money
I would definitely take Thornton for Luongo. Move Kesler to the wing, and you have a BEAST of a 2nd line. But I don't see San Jose doing that. They're going to try to dump Marleau instead.
HockeyHobo73
Lets trade Luongo for Thornton now lol... Even though Thornton is a somewhat "no show" for playoffs, I really wouldn't mind him on our team. We get our play making big center and two killer power play units whoever AV would decide who plays with who. Playing us last year in the playoffs, Thornton had some dominating shifts against our solid defense. We'd have to add some pieces to sweeten the pot, and make some other moves, but Jumbo Joe would look good in a Canucks Jersey. Daniel - Henrik - Burrows Booth - Thornton - Kesler Higgins - Pahlsson - Hansen Malholtra - Lapierre - ______ or Daniel - Henrik - Lapierre Higgins - Thornton - Booth Burrows - Kesler - Hansen ______ - Malholtra - _____ Kesler on the shut down line will still get his 19+ minutes (much like Pavelski did when playing on the Shark's third line in previous years)... This way we can roll out 3 lines if we wanted and use the 4th line if playing with the lead or if players need the extra shift off...
