Hank's Secret Sauce
It's been about two and a half years since that day and I've seen it a million times but I still get shivers every time I see that goal.
Everybody Hates Raymond
It was a weak shot directly into his body and Luongo still managed to make the save look dangerous He played well in the Olympics but THAT of all saves is what you choose to make an example of? jag.canucks
It's actually from a pretty dangerous scoring area, he got his shoulder on it, reaction save. It's funny because if Im not wrong Schneider let in a similar shot on the other side which is how the canucks were eliminated this season.
:D
Yes, I vaguely remember the Olympics... they were here in 2008 or something, right?
The Sedin's 6th Sense
Clutchest goalie moment in Olympic history....the greatest goaltender in NHL history is struggling and the hometown goalie is waiting for the opportunity. A country awaits for the news and a new #1 is made - Roberto Luongo. Not only does he perform greatly but he takes Team Canada to Olympic Gold on home soil with tons of pressure on him...that was just amazing...saw the last 45 minutes of te video, just wow. GB5
This game made me realize how effective Kessler is as a two way player.
Special Ed
I just can't fathom how anyone thinks luongo is a bad goalie. Good luck Schneider.
lx Birdie xl
I remember this one more than the other one.. This save keeping it 3-2 to send them to play for gold.. And the save was against Demitra(RIP)
The Sedin's 6th Sense
^ Think it's the video when Demitra's got the empty net and Lu robs him, didn't see it - busy, but that was also just unreal! Highway robbery.

Erik Karlsson
Lu isn't that same caliber as he used to be when he first arrived here, sure he may have a few good seasons left in him, but he's getting old and declining, going with Schneider is the smart move for now and especially the future. Jägermeister
Schneider sucks, he's gonna crap the bed when he realizes he's not Luongo and that his success was mostly due to lots of rest/always fresh when starting and the mentoring from the Olympic Hero. Don't want Schneider to do bad but it will happen...kid can't handle the pressure of playing a long season in a range to 60-70 games and then perform even better come playoffs...he'llbe chased out by fans in no time, the same ones that want him and Luongo out. Hope Lu stays and helps us win a Cup; with Lu, you know the product your getting plus TONS of experience. With Schneider, it's a guessing game and no knowing what will happen / Lu gives us a better shot at winning NOW. Can't wait if he's gone and the team starts struggling - will lol and cheer him on no matter where he goes.
Thirteen
Team Canada kicked ass! Toews was the most effective the final few games while Crosby was cold. I wished then people would give him more credit but he showed us his talent again just a few months later when he led his team to the cup. I just loved this team! Luongo was clutch with his saves, favorite saves were on Demo and Kes! Within the 3 year span of 2009-2011 was some of the best HOCKEY! Crosbys first cup, Gold in 2010 and then the Canucks run in 2011. Luongo played a lot of games also... No excuses but that's a lot of hockey and this year it's no wonder he hasn't been the same but expect he will be back to his level hopefully here, if not somewhere else. Thomas taking a break makes sense, these guys sometimes play a lot of hockey and when it stops being fun take a break.
