Looks like another good year for Jets to draft and ruin another potential quaterback. First Sanchez, then Geno and now Mariota

I think that is like 90% Rex Ryan. If he would just take the leash off Gino Smith and let him play to his strength they would win some football games. Gino Smith is a very talented player.

The reason why a lot of these flashy college QBs don't make it in the NFL is because they are usually developed in a gimmick, option type offence. RG3, Gino Smith, and now Mariota are perfect examples of this. That is why drafting a QB to suit the type of offence you are running is critical. I love Mariota, but that gimmick offence he ran got exposed in the national championship. The only offence I can see him working with is the Eagles.

Jameis Winston ran a conventional NFL offence with FSU and will transition better to the NFL.

Rex Ryan can't take off any leash on Geno Smith because he isn't the coach of the Jets anymore. He and Idzik were fired. Rex is now the HC of the Buffalo Bills.

I honestly think RG3 could've panned out if Shanahan had just taken him out of the playoff game vs Seattle.

Geno just looks terrible in all phases: his decision making, the mechanics of his throw, throwing under pressure. I don't know if Rex ran a defensive ship where there was little emphasis put on developing the offensive players, or if their QB coach just sucks.

Thanks tips.

Both EJ Manuel and Geno Smith are failures. That was a terrible draft for QB's.

Why the Bills took Manuel in the first round with a relatively high pick, I'll never know. Smith was ranked at #1 and he didn't go until the 2nd round. EJ was ranked #3. Most commentators that day said he likely would have lasted into the 3rd round before anybody came sniffing around.

I heard Rex say that they're building a bully in Buffalo and then proceed to sign Incognito. Kind of a d*ck move to label it as "building a bully" after the whole fiasco with Martin being bullied by Incognito.

I was going to say so what, but after hearing and reading about Incognitos history of incidents, it's a dumb move. He should be out of this league. The dudes a clown. Edited by Jiggs50

From the few times I've seen EJ play, I still believe he can turn out to be a decent starting QB. Geno is a bust, but EJ isn't because he has smarts (again, from what I've seen). It's so early and at times he's showed signs of promise. I wouldn't jump the gun just yet.

Even in the off season, the Ravens are drawing flags....

...this one for "Illegal use of hands":

http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/nfl/additional-charge-filed-vs-ravens-security-chief/

BALTIMORE — The head of security for the Baltimore Ravens, who is accused of groping a stadium worker, is now facing a second-degree assault charge in the same case.

Darren Sanders, a former Baltimore Police Department officer, was charged in late December with a fourth-degree sex offence. The case stems from allegations that he grabbed the woman’s breasts and buttocks and kissed her without her permission while she escorted him to his car at the stadium. Sanders denies the allegations.

Sanders had a role in the Ravens’ handling of a domestic violence case involving player Ray Rice after video surfaced showing Rice hitting his then-fiancee in an elevator.

The additional charge was made public Tuesday after the case was transferred from District Court to Circuit Court for trial.

Sanders’ attorney, Warren Alperstein, said it is not uncommon for cases to be transferred to Circuit Court, where it is easier to manage complex cases.

Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Tammy Brown said prosecutors ultimately determined there was enough evidence to add the assault charge.

The case did not go before a grand jury because the state has the authority to bring certain misdemeanour charges, including second-degree assault, without one.

The Ravens have placed Sanders on paid leave.

The 2 big QBs entering the NFL draft this year.

Winston

Mariota

Who goes to what team.

I'm going to go off the board and say Winston goes 1st to Tampa.

Mariota drops far enough for the Eagles to package a deal to draft him.

If Chip Kelly could pull this off the NFL would truly see what his offence is capable of.

I think Mariota will fall in the draft because he was part of such a specialized offence. He doesn't have the decision making experience that is needed to run a traditional NFL offence.

I would officially watch the NFL and become a Eagles fan if this was to transpire.

Guarenteed Mariota goes before Winston and it’s in the top 3
