unknown33429
It's funny, one person believing in something which cannot be seen will be called delusional or psychotic, yet when others do it, they're called religious. If someone has an imaginary friend, that sits on their couch, that they believe is god, that is just as realistic as any other invisible, unverifiable "entity" that any religion believes is "god". Satan's Evil Twin
It's not funny actually. It makes perfect sense. A man suffering hallucination is called psychotic/schizophrenic etc. in our time, but when people didn't understand such things, he was called a prophet, or possessed by demons; one or the other. unknown33429
You didn't quite get the point actually. Today, NOW, all the religious people in the world, are believing in some invisible being, no different than the imaginary friend of a person suffering psychosis, yet nobody questions that. Someone that says they saw a ghost, is off their rocker, but say you believe an invisible entity is all powerful and created everything and you're perfectly sane? Just because lots of people subscribe to an unproven belief, doesn't make it true.

zombieksa
Ask a Christian if they'd play the role of Abraham in the Binding of Isaac and enjoy the hilarity.

Sharpshooter
Not really - unless you're speaking for yourself... Kind of like cognitive dissonance..in your case you go out of your way to constantly rationalize why it's okay for you to drop a cheap shot against anyone religious whenever you can.... Heretic
Not really? You've been deluded for a longer period of time then? I'm sorry if the definitions of words that people use appear as a 'cheap shot'. Delusion is a word that best describes and defines your belief in man-made mythology. Sharpshooter
Thanks for the proof. I prefer "hope" as a word that defines my belief in God.

Heretic
You can hope all you like. Hope against hope if you wish. I continue to hope that you'll just keep your irrational hopes to yourself.
